More Julie Plec Interviews: Hollywood Reporter, TV Guide & Zap2ItAs Vampire Diaries Season 4 draws to a close, Julie Plec is chatting up the final two episodes of the season – The Walking Dead (EP422) and Graduation (EP423). Check out the interview below and be sure to read through our first JP interview round-up from this morning.

Via The Hollywood Reporter:

THR: Ghosts play a pivotal part in the remaining episodes of the season.
Plec: The big agenda of Silas is that he wants to drop the veil to the other side and allow ghosts to roam freely all over the world. Bonnie (Kat Graham), among others, are intent on making sure that that doesn’t happen. From the episode description, that clues us in that something is going on and something’s going wrong. We will see what happens there. But definitely the ghosts provide the antagonist and nostalgic relationships coming back into our world as well. It’s a little bit of both.

Via TV Guide:

How great was it to have certain people back?
Plec: Without spoiling who’s around, they are some of my favorite characters to write for. And just to be able to have them back in our world for a short time was so nostalgic and sweet and warm and wonderful. The finale has a lot of ups and downs and twists and turns, but when all said and done, it’s one of the more nicely and kindly emotional episodes that we’ve done. And it has a lot to do with these familiar faces that are popping up for everybody.

Via Zap2It:

In order to take Silas out, Bonnie has to reach out to her witchy ancestors, which has historically been a dangerous choice for her. Plec says, “Unfortunately, as she says at the top of this episode, ‘There’s only been one person that’s been able to put [Silas] down, two thousand years ago, and that was Qetsiyah, so I need to go ask her for some advice.’ What Bonnie does, how she does it, and how it connects to ghosts suddenly walking through Mystic Falls is all part of the next episode.”

TV Guide‘s TVD Bite catches up with Candice Accola to talk about tomorrow night’s new episode, The Walking Dead (EP422), Caroline’s future with Tyler and Klaus, and the show’s transition from high school to college.

“We’re going to learn more behind the mythology of lifting the veil and why specific characters … have returned and why some have not,” Candice Accola tells us in this week’s Vampire Diaries Bite. “So it’s not that every character that’s ever been killed off the show is just going to magically appear in one wide shot, but there will be a lot of familiar faces and a story behind each one.”

Watch the video below and READ WHAT JULIE PLEC HAS TO SAY ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE SERIES AT TV GUIDE.

The Associated Press sat down with Candice Accola to talk about the Writers’ Room and their “mythology Bible,” why she’s nervous for the writers (in a good way) about “the master plan,” and how fan reaction had a surprising influence on a certain pairing. Check out the video below!

XXEntertainment Weekly caught up with Candice Accola to chat about tonight’s episode of The Vampire Diaries, She’s Come Undone (EP421), Caroline’s relationships with Elena, Stefan, and Tyler, The Originals‘ big Klaus twist, and graduation.

On Caroline and Elena’s friendship: Candice says that if/when Elena decides to turn her humanity back on, Caroline will have to try and reconnect with her. “Sometimes when someone has gone through a traumatic occurrence in their lives they’re just not the same person,” says Accola. “I assume that if Elena did turn her humanity back on, she’d still have to get her sea legs back. She’d still have to discover who she is and I think that would be hard for Caroline.”
