More cast tidbits about tonight’s all-new (and fist ever holiday) episode of The Vampire Diaries, this time with Candice Accola. First up, she chats with IGN about Caroline’s perspectives on Klaus and Damon:

IGN: For quite awhile now with Klaus, there’s been the fact that he’s got this infatuation with Caroline. Might this play into these new plans?

Accola: Caroline is very well aware that she is able to use herself as — one my lines that I really loved is when Caroline goes, “Why do I always have to be Klaus bait?” And it’s true! It’s funny. Klaus is just enchanted with her. He also knows she’s playing him, but I think he likes that she’s playing him because he’s still a step ahead of her. But it gives him attention and a game that I think a character like him really wants. She’s definitely involved, but she still has an arm’s length between them. She’s definitely not on his side.

And over at MTV’s Hollywood Crush, Candice adds her thoughts on the sire bond and tonight’s much-rumored death:

Candice pointed out that flashbacks have provided a nice opportunity for some characters to return, but not everybody gets to come back for a period episode or a ghostly vision. “Of course, there’s always the potential that when a character leaves, that’s [really] it. The writers have created a world where they can do whatever they want and we have all known it from day one. Our first meeting in Atlanta started off with: ‘This is a vampire show. People will die.’ This is what we got into. It’s just the reality of the show that we’re on.”

This week’s installment of TV Guide’s Vampire Diaries Bite focuses on the Tyler’s mission to take down Klaus and whether Caroline will support the means used to accomplish that end. Candice Accola chimes in on whether Caroline has Tyler’s back:

E!Online caught up with Julie Plec to talk Stefan, Damon, Elena and sire bond:

Is there any real hope for Damon and Elena as a legit couple?
The sire bond issue will force them each to dig deep into their feelings towards each other as they try to define and defend them. This could either make them stronger than ever or tear them apart.

Olympic gold medalist Gabrielle Douglas will be appearing on tomorrow night’s new episode of The Vampire Diaries, My Brother’s Keeper (EP407), and Nina Dobrev interviewed her for Entertainment Tonight about her experience visiting the show. Gabby also helps Nina with some gymnastic, and there are some nice words from Nina, Ian Somerhalder, and Candice Accola about Gabby’s accomplishments and working with her on set. We trust our American friends have had a marvelous Thanksgiving, yes? So how about sinking your teeth into another goodie this holiday weekend: A webclip from next week’s new episode, My Brother’s Keeper (EP407). Klaus and Caroline are having a perfectly polite conversation and we’re 99.9% positive that Klaus pulls out the hybrid puppy eyes. Watch and you’ll see what we mean.
