EW & Zap2It Interviews with Candice AccolaAnother Thursday, another new episode of The Vampire Diaries, and another round of fantastic interviews with Candice Accola. First up, Candice talks “Klaus, Miss Mystic Falls, and a Winter Wonderland” with Entertainment Weekly:

Caroline has definitely, in the past, used Klaus’ feelings toward her to distract him so that they can execute their plan and try to get ahead and beat Klaus at his own game. So we’ve seen this before, and we will definitely see it again. Caroline knows the kind of hold that she has over Klaus. I don’t think that she necessarily trusts fully that he will never just switch on a dime — I don’t think anyone can.

READ THE ENTIRE INTERVIEW AT ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY.

And Zap2It brings up the chemistry between Caroline and Stefan (alongside a lot of other topics):

I think Caroline’s biggest struggle is parallel to Stefan’s biggest struggle. This is a season of Caroline just really wanting to do the right thing, and to do the right thing by the people that she cares about. She recognizes what the right thing is, and she can’t ignore it. She wants to do the right thing. It coincides with Stefan, who just wants so hard to do the right thing and to have Elena grow and experience being a vampire in a perfect, safe, right way. He’s almost re-doing the way that he became a vampire through Elena. He’s getting another chance, and he wants things to go a certain way, even if it’s not necessarily the best thing for her, he wants it to be right.

The CW has released the official synopsis for the BRILLIANTLY TITLED December 6th episode of The Vampire Diaries: We’ll Always Have Bourbon Street (EP408). Highlight for spoilers:

A FLASHBACK TO NEW ORLEANS IN 1942When Stefan ({Paul Wesley) confronts Damon (Ian Somerhalder) with a suspicion about Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon has no choice but to help Stefan investigate. Searching for answers, Damon and Stefan visit modern day New Orleans to see if they can find anyone who remembers the events of their last visit in 1942, including one of Damon’s former flames, Charlotte (guest star Madeline Zima). Elena, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) share a girls’ night while the Salvatore brothers are out of town, and emotions run high when Elena delivers some shocking news. At Hayley’s (guest star Phoebe Tonkin) urging, Tyler (Michael Trevino) confronts one of Klaus’ hybrids, Kimberly (guest star Alyssa Diaz), and the situation quickly escalates into violence. Finally, Damon is faced with a heartbreaking decision.

The episode was written by Charlie Charbonneau and Jose Molina and directed by Jesse Warn.

Previously on The Vampire Diaries: The Killer (EP405)Hello, fandom! We’re running a bit late with this post today – we’re sorry, we’re sorry. Just so you know, we’re changing up these Previously posts a bit, as they’re very time-consuming, so we’re working on a static list (which you can see under the cut) to the TVD landing pages of various sites and blogs that do regular TVD recaps. It would be a huge help if you posted any potential additions in the comments so we can get them on the list. Be sure to post the link to a feed for TVD recaps. Thanks!

Right, so, LAST WEEK: Those were some shenanigans, right?

WATCH A BITE-SIZED RECAP AT THE CW’S VAMPIRE DIARIES LAIR.

NO, DAMON. I DIDN’T TELL HIM I GOT HIGH ON SPOILERS LIKE SOME DIRTY CRACKHEAD…
