Stefan's DiariesThere have been murmurings for a little while now about a fourth book in the Stefan’s Diaries series, and we’re pleased to confirm that Stefan’s Diaries #4: The Ripper is now officially listed in the Harper Collins catalogue – hopefully they’ll get a cover up soon. The book is due for release on 8th November, 2011, and available to pre-order on Amazon in the USA and in the UK. Mouseover or highlight below to read the summary.
Twenty years have passed since Stefan Salvatore last saw his brother, Damon. Now, living in a remote town in England, far away from the haunting memories of Mystic Falls, Stefan is finally able to start over. But when news from London reaches Stefan of a brutal killer on the loose, who goes by Jack the Ripper, Stefan suspects that the murders are the work of a vampire…his brother.
Full of dark shadows and surprising twists, the fourth book in the Stefan’s Diaries series raises the stakes for the Salvatore brothers as they face new loves, old treacheries, and unimaginable threats. Fans of the Vampire Diaries series and the hit television show won’t be able to put the latest Salvatore adventure down.

  • Darkerlust_305

I thought there were supposed to be only 3 books in the Stefan’s diaries series. I gather the first 3 were a success then… That’s great!
Looking forward to reading it (at least we get more Stefan in the books!)… ;)

I enjoyed the first 2 even though there were a lot of errors in them if they were using ANY of the TV series.  Also they don’t say who is writing them.  Did not care for the 3rd one.

I will get it and hope for the best. lol  Sounds interesting.

Oh man. When I saw the title I thought it was going to be Stefan the Ripper! Now I’m just hoping that this is a prank.

Seriously, now St. Stefan thinks that Damon is Jack The Ripper, the ultimate hater of all things female?

  • sandy

if damon was jack the ripper i could never forgive him. god i never thought i would say that. i can tolerate all the killing he’s done so far but just the way these women were murdered and well, “ripped” apart is horrible and i refuse to believe he could ever do something like that.it’s just so wrong.

CANNOT WAIT. stefans diaries r such a fantastic series

why is the summery hidden if it’s discussed in the comments?

I think it’s a bit far-fetched for Stefan to believe that Damon is Jack The Ripper even though he had a low opinion of him back then. Damon might be a “psychopath with no redeeming qualities” (quote) but he’s not a woman-hater

Because the comments aren’t visible unless you scroll for them, and the summary is also on the main page where people can’t avoid spoilers unless we hide them.

    Okay. That makes sense.

  • Canderella

Maybe we’ll see a completely different story then behind Jack…  Can’t think of anything that will really make sense and could combine the Ripper killings with Damon’s character we’ve seen so far (except for a weak argument of hiding his marks), but am I a fiction writer? No. So I’ll wait and see ;)

But yes – I also thought Stefan is meant by “The Ripper”. Very misleading. Or there are some surprising twists within the story. Would’nt be surprising, would it?

Haven’t read book 3 yet, but liked the first two definately more than the original books ];-]

Stefan’s is the most crappiest book ever! has nothing to do with the books

I am currently learning about Jack the Ripper in History. I will only ever think of Damon being Jack the Ripper during my History classes throughout the year and I will fail my tests :(

First and foremost, if Damon is Jack the Ripper in these books, it really doesn’t have much to do with the TV show, it should be taken as a stand alone…separate from the show. You can’t blame Damon for something he hasn’t done on the show just because he may or may not do them in the books.

I have all 3 and I’m going to get the 4th one.

  • KristinDiaz

Wow! I never would’ve thought of Jack the Ripper and Damon as one character in the books…interesting, and genius ;) You really gotta have a crazy imagination to come up with that…

  • Anja_van Ginneken

    Can’t wait!!!

  • Smaguire
