HarperTeen has revealed the cover for Moonsong, the second book in new Vampire Diaries trilogy, The Hunters. The book is due for release on March 13, 2012. (The first volume, Phantom, comes out this October.) And…is that Matt Honeycutt on the cover? Click to see a bigger version in the Gallery.

Following up news that another Stefan’s Diaries book is on the way – The Ripper, due November 8, 2011 – is news that The Ripper will be the first in a second Stefan’s Diaries trilogy. HarperCollins is listing Stefan’s Diaries #5: The Asylum (due January 17, 2012) and Stefan’s Diaries #6 (title to be announced, due March 13, 2012) in their catalog. No synopsis for either title yet, but we’ll keep you posted.

i’m actually annoyed about part 4 being about the ripper, it seems like someone watched the final and thought up the idea is a second. while i’m thinking about it, i’m betting that klaus is the real jack the ripper. it seems logical to me.

is that supposed to be Matt on the cover? If so then I guess Bonnie will be on the next one since Meredeth was on the Phantom one. These books do not look interesting to me in the slightest. Midnight is where it ends for me…

Umm no offense honestly, but I was expecting Matt to look more like the classic American boy like Zach R. on the show. This guy looks too much like a runway model with super highlighted hair. O_o sorry

Even though LJ Smith isn’t writing the books anymore and it won’t be as good, I’ll give it a shot. It didn’t look that bad to me. The preview in the last Stefan’s Diaries convinced me that it didn’t seem that bad. However, I’m really excited about the new Stefan’s Diaries books!

I don’t think is Meredith in Phantom I think is Caroline since she have brown hair. And I don’t think is Matt in Moosong, doesn’t feel like him, I believe is a new character, L. J. Smith in one of her e-mail to fans said in moonsong was gonna with Bonnie a admired a werewolve named Xander so it could be him.

I don’t think the books are going to be good as the ones L.J. Smith wrote but I’m willing to give it a try, as most of you should and in the preview it still had Damon and Elena bits which makes me wanna read it more!
P.S. I’m a Delena fan!

I have read chapter one of phantom on amazon, and guess what? It sucks. It’s so bad without L.J.Smith. They have murded Elena and Damon. That chapter would never even have been wrote if L.J had written them. I’m not gonna buy the new trilogy. :( So angry! :(:(

yeah im pretty sure stefan was there and they were going to save fells church from the kitsune or maybe i read a different book????
