The extended promo for “Haunted” has been released by the CW. It doesn’t make the two week wait any easier to deal with, we have to admit. As @jacobjunior7 asked us on twitter, what coping mechanisms are you guys going to employ? Let us know in the comments. ;)

Many thanks to Stelena Lover for the heads-up.

The promo from the end of “Lost Girls” for the Halloween episode, “Haunted”. The one we have to wait two whole weeks for. We sense the trailers and webclips will be getting a lot of viewing over the next couple of weeks from frustrated and impatient fans. ;)

Katerina Graham talks to CW Source about Bonnie’s inherent sweet nature, torching cars, and being intuitive.

Back Stage also has an interview with Kat, covering her career from an actor’s perspective.

And it’s a bit late now, but TV Guide Magazine has some spoilery quote-age from Mr. Kevin Williamson about tonight’s episode.

“Wait until you see this one! It’s like the second half of the [last week’s] episode,” says Williamson, adding that things will never be the same once our fair heroine has all the facts. “Elena has to know. The story doesn’t start until she does…now the story starts.”

A rather book-esque piece of Vampire Diaries marketing from the CW here featuring Damon, and it looks pretty stunning. Hopefully we’ll be seeing some Stefan and Elena ones soon (along with – we hope – some of the other characters, now their storylines are developing). The tag reads, “Damon. The one who causes the pain can just as easily take it away.” There’s also a textless version of the poster.

The Vampire Diaries TV SeriesNY Post’s Pop Wrap caught up with Zach Roerig to talk vampires, heroes, Vampire Diaries mythology, and Matt’s torch for Elena.

PW: Between the possibility of having to protect Elena and then Matt’s little sister Vicki, who’s always getting herself into trouble, is Matt’s role to play the hero?
Zach: I think he’s one of a couple heroes, yeah. Stefan’s definitely trying to be a hero. He’s trying to make amends for whatever wrongs he may have made in his past… There’s vampires and there’s bound to be other specials powers and I think Matt’s the one beacon of just like real, honest, good-hearted. He’s just got a pure heart. He doesn’t have any special powers, he’s just a good guy tryin’ to do the right thing.

The Vampire Diaries TV SeriesEpisode six of The Vampire Diaries, Lost Girls (aka Flashbackapalooza), airs tonight. If comments here and on Twitter are any indication, this is possibly the most anticipated episode of the show yet. Would you agree? Or do the hints about Haunted already have you thinking about the long two week wait you’ll have to endure after tonight?

Yes, that’s right – our undoubtedly unwelcome reminder that next week’s airing is a re-run of Night of the Comet. You’ll have to wait until October 29th for a new Vampire Diaries fix. But before you freak out, refresh your excitement for Lost Girls with another spoilery look at what’s in store tonight (and start talking it up in the forum!):

Zach Roerig as MattFancast has an interview up with Zach Roerig, who plays Matt Donovan on the show. Amongst other things, he talks a lot about Matt, his relationship with Elena, the Donovan family background, working in Atlanta and with the other people involved with the Vampire Diaries, and… Matt the Vampire Slayer? We think that could work, as long as Stefan isn’t on the list for staking.

Where are Matt and Vickie’s parents? Matt seems to take care of Vickie almost like her father.
I don’t think that Matt or Vickie ever really had a father figure around. That’s why the Mom all through their childhood was bouncing around from guy to guy. So Vickie and Matt had to raise themselves.

What would you like Matt’s character arc to be?
I think that every family [in Mystic Falls] is going to have some kind of secret. I think it would be cool if Matt killed a vampire. I think once Matt realizes that there are vampires he will definitely be involved in the killing of vampires.
