Via Nina-Dobrev.info (and Lily!), The CW Network has launched its official Vampire Diaries site, with a series summary. There is also now an OFFICIAL Facebook page to fan the TV series.
In other news, SciFiWire is reporting that the network’s tagline for the Vampire Diaries/Supernatural pairing on Thursday nights will be: “Thursdays go Goth.”
…Yeah.

I swear we should just make our own posters and submit them to the CW Jen(Quote)

Can we use different actors? Because that would be a nice hint that Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev appear to be almost universally reviled in comments, both by book fans and people who haven’t read the books. -_- Incanto(Quote)

You know, it wouldn’t be quite so insulting if it weren’t for the fact it’s implying that Supernatural is goth, too. Which it blatantly isn’t. Not that there’s anything wrong with goths (why, hello again teenage years, I remember your black velvet and eyeliner well), but seriously? Saying Thursdays go goth is an insult to TVD, SPN, AND goths who are all probably going ‘WTF?! How are those shows goth?!’ the same as the rest of us.
CW, vampires do not automatically imply goth, certainly not in this day and age. And seriously, Sam and Dean Winchester are as far from goth as you can get. O_o Red(Quote)

Maybe it depends on what Black Sabbath tape Dean’s playing at the time? Vee(Quote)

the pics of the 3 of them don´t even have the same light direction. It´s really, really bad! I bet a lot of fans could do sooooo much better…Even if you add some contrast there would be an improvement! I really hated this “pic” Sucker for Vampires(Quote)

Did you miss that bit of news? Julie Plec tweeted about it in the wee morning hours before the upfront. I was ecstatic. Vee(Quote)
