And here’s your extended promo for next week’s new episode of The Vampire Diaries, Rescue Me (EP517). Warning: Bed-breaking ahead.
Jumping forward a month after Rebekah Mikaelson’s departure from New Orleans, Moon Over Bourbon Street delivered plot straight up, but with a fuzzy twist. Relationships between New Orleans’ factions are chilled, tensions stirred, but Elijah is determined to keep matters off the rocks despite Klaus’s feigned indifference and, at first, in spite of the newly curse-free Crescent werewolves. While the end results of Elijah’s immediate efforts are mixed, trust Klaus to ensure that the long-term consequences will be anything but neat.
Here’s your first look at next week’s new episode of The Vampire Diaries. Rescue Me (EP517) premieres on the CW on Thursday, March 27 at 8/7c.

People die all of the time—largely because they are killed by one of the main characters—and often these deaths are treated with such blithe disinterest that the death becomes almost startling in its inconsequence. But once in a while, the show remembers the finality of death. And when it does, it always knocks the emotion of it out of the park.
