Alas, Supernatural snagged both the Favorite Network TV Drama and Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show, and Favorite TV Drama Actor went to Nathan Fillion. On the other hand, big congratulations are in order for Nina Dobrev, who took home the award for Favorite TV Drama Actress! Since she was also the first write-in nominee ever to make the ballot, that’s a pretty big deal. Way to go, fandom! Congratulations, Nina! Thanks to Nina Dobrev Network for the video clip.

We nominated, we voted (and voted and voted!) and now it’s finally here! The People’s Choice Awards is TONIGHT. Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley will all be attending, and we hope to see them up on stage accepting some well-earned awards.
The Vampire Diaries is up for two awards, including Favorite Network Drama and Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show, while Ian and Nina are in the running for Favorite TV Drama Actor and Actress, respectively.
You can watch the People’s Choice Awards live on CBS tonight, beginning at 9:00pm EST. There’s also a Red Carpet show on Reelz, starting at 8:00pm EST.

The People’s Choice Awards announced today that Nina Dobrev will appear at their award ceremony next week. No official word yet on whether she’ll be presenting – they called the list she was on “presenters/attendees” – but fingers crossed! They’ll be announcing more appearances as the week progresses, so we’ll keep you updated! The People’s Choice Awards will air on Wednesday, January 11 at 9/8c on CBS.
In addition to Nina’s nomination for Favorite TV Drama Actress, The Vampire Diaries is up for Favorite TV Drama and Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show, and Ian Somerhalder is nominated for Favorite TV Drama Actor.

We know everyone’s caught up in the People’s Choice Awards frenzy, but let’s not forget that Vampire Diaries has nominations in other awards, too! As we blogged some weeks back, Kat Graham, Steven R. McQueen, and the Vampire Diaries cast has nods in the first ever Youth Rocks Awards. Kat is up for Rockin’ Actress (TV/Drama), Steven is up for Rockin’ Actor (TV/Drama), and the entire cast is up for Rockin’ Ensemble Cast (TV/Drama). The awards will take place on December 7th, 2011 at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood. Voting is open, so let’s show the love! Head on over to the Youth Rock Awards and VOTE!
