The Vampire Diaries TV SeriesSciFi Wire talks to Matt Davis about Alaric’s future on The Vampire Diaries, his character’s unlikely alliance with Damon Salvatore, and the various twists and turns fans can expect in the last few episode of the season.

“Sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll … it’s all going to come out,” said Davis with a laugh. “It is such a well-crafted show, and every script is better than the last one. There are so many things that are being told and then threaded throughout. I think everyone is going to be really pleased with the way this season ends.”

MTV’s Hollywood Crush recaps Sara Canning’s interview in Canadian magazine Avenue (check out her cover). Sara discusses her overactive imagination, when she caught the acting bug, and her determination to be successful in her career.

And what type of person is Sara exactly? She still cares about her hometown, sending autographs to her former high school for their silent auction. And she’s also incredibly driven about going after her dreams. She confided to the magazine, “When I moved away from home … there was no thought in my head of maybe this is going to work out. I was always really adamant about making this happen.”

And finally, a big congrats to Nina Dobrev who will accept Avon’s Make Their Mark award at the Young Hollywood Awards on Thursday, May 13th – the same night as the Vampire Diaries season finale. The award recognizes one special up-and-coming performer.

While we’re sure everyone knows that the Vampire Diaries won the favourite new drama category at the People’s Choice Awards, we also imagine that not everyone was able to see it happen. So, for your viewing pleasure, Greg Grunberg (Heroes) and Kathryn Morris (Cold Case) announcing the Vampire Diaries as the winning show.

Regular forum member and proud Elena fan thedean786 has written an interesting article explaining just why the Vampire Diaries appeals to a regular guy such as himself:

So I’ve got a confession to make. I like TVD – no, wait, scratch that – I actually love TVD. *sigh* much better. I really needed to get that off my chest. But here’s the kicker – I’m actually a guy that actually enjoys watching a TV show which for all intents and purposes I should be shunning. I mean c’mon, what “full grown alpha male” in his right mind would ever admit to liking this show? Especially since it’s supposedly for the “screaming sappy girl fans of Twilight” – ok that was a bit harsh, but you get my point. Yet here I am readily admitting my admiration of all things TVD. Could I possibly be insane? Read on dear friends read on.

Read the rest of the article over at Vampire Diaries Online.

You can catch a glimpse of Ian, Nina and Paul on the dance set of episode 12, “Unpleasantville”, in the video below:

And finally, Marcos Siega tweeted a picture from his phone of some of the cast hard at work on set… on their own phones. ;)

While most polls have been closed over at the People’s Choice Awards website, they are keeping the polls for Favorite New TV Comedy and Favorite New TV Drama open to round up more votes. And it gets better: the New TV Drama category has narrowed down to only five shows – V, The Good Wife, NCIS: Los Angeles, FlashForward, and (you guessed it) The Vampire Diaries. We can still win this thing! Vote as often as you can.

This is my choice for:
Favorite New TV Drama
The Vampire Diaries

The Vampire Diaries TV SeriesToday/tonight is your last chance to vote The Vampire Diaries as Best New TV Drama in the People’s Choice Awards. Get over there and vote as many times as your index finger will allow you to click. Finger cramps are for sissies and police procedurals are boring. (Yeah. We said it.)

Nina, Paul, and Ian are heading over to Red’s home turf – that would be the U.K. – to promote The Vampire Diaries, which begins airing on ITV2 next month. Have questions for the trio? Wander over to ITV2′s Facebook page and chime in with your queries.

Finally, we know many of you have been searching for this info: The track used in the Lost Girls promo is Rie Sinclair “(Lover) What’s Going On”.
