It’s that time of year again! Time to nominate your favorites in film, TV and music for People’s Choice Awards. The Vampire Diaries is already on the nomination list in the following categories:
Favorite actor or actress not on the list? Never fear, you can write them in! You can nominate up to 5 shows or people in each category.
UPDATE: Voting starts tomorrow, Tuesday, October 18th at 9am, EST!
Paul Wesley announced via Twitter earlier today that he would be presenting at this year’s Scream Awards, SpikeTV’s annual awards show honoring the best in horror, science fiction, and fantasy media. The awards ceremony was tonight but you’ll be able to watch the big show this Tuesday, October 18th at 9pm/8c on Spike. In the meantime, check out photos of Paul and the lovely Torrey DeVitto on tonight’s red carpet (see more at Vampire Diaries Web) and continue to wonder why Vampire Diaries didn’t receive a single Scream nomination this year. (Oh, you thought we’d forgotten about that, Spike? Hmmm?)
We all know The Vampire Diaries rocks, and it looks like we aren’t the only ones noticing! Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to the First Annual Youth Rock Awards!
Jonathan George of JG Entertainment created The YOUTH ROCK AWARDS to celebrate and recognize today’s TOP YOUNG artists, twenty-five years old and under, in Music, Dance, TV, and Film. Young talent rarely receives the notoriety they deserve. Youth Rock Awards are designed to honor these young artists that excel in dance, music and acting.
TVD is up for several awards in the acting category: Steven R. McQueen, Kat Graham and the cast as an enseble all got nods. Go team!
The awards will take place on December 7th, 2011 at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood. Voting is open, so let’s show the love! Head on over to the Youth Rock Awards and VOTE!
And also thanks to NDN, here’s Ian Somerhalder presenting the Outstanding Directing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Series EMMY alongside Lea Michele.
And an FYI if you missed the EMMY broadcast: A clip from The Vampire Diaries was featured in the Drama montage! It was the scene when Katherine tells Damon she never loved him. Cool stuff.
Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev walked the red carpet at tonight’s 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards, looking classically stunning in a black tuxedo and red Donna Karan gown, respectively. Ian will be presenting an award later tonight, so it’s not too late to tune in to FOX if you want to see him. (Click to see bigger versions in the Gallery.)
Just a reminder that Paul Wesley will be the second guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight, so tune in and set those DVRs!
And be sure to ALSO tune in/set your DVR for the ALMA Awards, airing tonight on NBC at 8/7c. Michael Trevino will be presenting an award.
And be sure to tune in to MTV’s 10 on Top Saturday (tomorrow) morning at 11:30am ET/PT to catch Kat Graham and Michael Trevino talking Vampire Diaries Season 3.
We first had hints of this a few weeks ago, but the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has confirmed that Ian Somerhalder will be presenting an Emmy at the ceremony on Sunday. The live telecast begins at 8:00 EDT on FOX. This means that he’ll almost certainly be walking the red carpet, as well, so we’ll bring you those pictures as we get them.

We can never have too many photos of this gorgeous cast! In case you missed it, be sure to check out our first post of video and pics from the CW premiere party last night. Vampire Diaries Web has lots more photos from the CW Premiere Party red carpet, so head over there to check ‘em out. Daniel Gillies Online also has some terrific photos. A selection of shots from the party itself are below. Click the images to see full-sized versions in the Gallery. (Sorry, if you tried to view this when we posted it earlier; our Gallery plug-in is on the fritz and we still haven’t figured it out. Hopefully we can fix it soon!)
If you’d like to read more about the event you can also find coverage here at the Hollywood Reporter.
Also added a few more shots of Michael Trevino on the ALMA Awards red carpet to the Gallery.
Michael Trevino was a presenter (and a nominee!) at tonight’s National Council of La Raza (NCLR) ALMA Awards – “a one-of-a-kind tribute to the spirit of pioneering Latinos in television, film, and music.” The ceremony itself was tonight but you’ll be able to watch it this Friday, September 16th, 8/7c on NBC. Check out a Twitpic of Michael signing on the red carpet and another red carpet shot and photos from his portrait session below. (Click to see bigger versions in the Gallery.)
