The CW has released the official synopsis for the January 17th mid-season premiere of The Vampire Diaries: After School Special (EP410). Highlight for spoilers:

REBEKAH IS BACK WITH A VENGEANCEAppearing unexpectedly at Mystic Falls High, Rebekah (Claire Holt) wastes no time trying to force Stefan (Paul Wesley), Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Caroline (Candice Accola) to answer her questions about the search for a cure, leading to a bombshell piece of information from Elena. When Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) father, Rudy Owens (guest star Rick Worthy, “Supernatural”), accepts the role of Interim Mayor, he makes it a priority to protect his daughter, who isn’t at all comfortable with the role he suddenly wants to play in her life. Professor Shane (guest star David Alpay) continues to encourage Bonnie to believe in her powers, but he soon finds himself in danger when he reveals too much to the wrong person. Later, Caroline does her best to comfort Tyler (Michael Trevino) after a violent confrontation. Meanwhile, at the lake house, Damon and Matt (Zach Roerig) train Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), trying to raise his game as a hunter, but Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is impatient with their progress and intervenes to speed up the process.

The CW has released the official synopsis for The Vampire Diaries: The Five (EP404), airing Thursday, November 1st on the CW. Highlight for spoilers:

A FRAT PARTY AND A FLASHBACK TO 12TH CENTURY ITALY — Damon (Ian Somerhalder) goes with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) to visit Whitmore College, where Professor Shane (guest star David Alpay, “The Borgias”) is taking over the Occult Studies classes formerly taught by Bonnie’s grandmother. At a fraternity costume party, Damon takes advantage of the wild scene to give Elena a lesson in choosing a victim. Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) attempt to buy Matt’s (Zach Roerig) forgiveness falls flat, but she is intrigued by unexpected news from Klaus (Joseph Morgan). When Stefan (Paul Wesley) questions Klaus about Connor’s (guest star Todd Williams) motives, Klaus reveals a long-ago encounter with a powerful group of vampire hunters, but it’s Rebekah who delivers the information that stuns Stefan.

The CW has released the official synopsis for The Vampire Diaries Season 3 finale, The Departed (EP322), airing Thursday, May 10th. Yes, this is the last episode synopsis for TVD Season 3, can you believe it? Only four episodes left! Highlight for spoilers:

THE SECRET HERO — Determined to protect his sister, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) makes a decision that will change everything. In the harsh reality of the present situation, Elena (Nina Dobrev) longs for simpler times when her parents, Grayson (guest star Jason MacDonald) and Miranda (guest star Erin Beute), and Aunt Jenna (guest star Sara Canning) were still alive and her biggest concern was her relationship with Matt (Zach Roerig). Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) leave Mystic Falls together on a mission, but soon split up when Elena needs one of them. Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) are forced to make a life-changing decision. Finally, Bonnie (Kat Graham) makes a secret deal that has heartbreaking consequences.

The episode was directed by John Behring, with story by Brett Matthews & Elisabeth R. Finch and teleplay by Julie Plec.

A few days ago, Ian Somerhalder tweeted out the above photo, revealing the title of the Vampire Diaries Season 3 finale: The Departed (EP322). The episode was written by Julie Plec, based on a story by Brett Matthews and Elisabeth Finch. John Behring will direct (he was also at the helm for the Season 2 finale, As I Lay Dying). How about that title, eh?

We can also confirm that the title of EP321 – the last Season 3 episode title to be revealed – will be: Before Sunset.
