Check out the still below to see Zach Roerig and Candice Accola once again rocking a decade dance look…we’re not gonna lie, we’re pretty psyched about Matt’s waistcoat.
Ready for a taste of Thursday’s episode, The Murder of One (EP318)? The CW has one for you right here:
Looks like it’s Candice Accola‘s turn for a round of interviews! She spoke with Entertainment Weekly about (spoiler alert!) what Caroline’s been up to lately, a lot of fans were missing her last week. According to the actress, Caroline is following Stefan’s example, (not the murder-y one, guys, don’t panic), and is stepping up to help out someone in need.
“We’re gonna see Caroline step into the role of the mothering mentor. We’re gonna learn about what happens when a witch does transition into a vampire and what that means and what she loses,” she says. “We’re gonna get to know Jamie [the young man Abby took in while she was estranged from Bonnie] a little bit better. I can say he’s chopping wood in a very revealing tank top, ladies. So get ready, because those arms are chopping wood like no other.”
Meanwhile, Zap2it also interviewed Candice, and asked her a few questions about how Caroline feeling about her father’s killer right now, and where things stand between Miss Mystic Falls and the much-missed Mr. Tyler Lockwood. Beware of spoilers!
Zap2it: When Tyler comes back, is it a happy reunion for the two of them?
Candice: It’s happy because they want to see each other. We’re going to learn if Tyler was able to break the sire bond or if he wasn’t, and that’s going to effect how their relationship moves forward.
Over at The Hollywood Reporter, Candice Accola shed some light on Caroline’s relationships and interactions with Tyler, Klaus, and Stefan, as well as what’s coming up in the latter part of the season in general. On the Caroline/Stefan dynamic:
“I really didn’t expect there to be a funny cadence between those characters’ conversations. It fit perfectly into it, especially at that time with Stefan showing her the ropes because Caroline is the perky “play with me play with me” pesky cheerleader and Stefan is more brooding, serious and so they played well together. I think this season there’s been other things to focus on and Caroline’s taken over Stefan’s place in the sense of showing people who are new in their supernatural ability, how to cope with it. There has been no intention to not have Caroline and Stefan be in scenes together, it’s just there’s been so many plot points and story lines going on right now. They’re still there. I’m sure that they’ll eventually have scenes together again.”
In this week’s TV Guide Vampire Diaries Bite, Candice Accola tells us a little bit about where Caroline stands on all this Klaus and Tyler stuff. Spoiler alert applies!
Candice also gives a little insight into what’s going on with Caroline and Bonnie, and the challenge they’re currently facing.
To help you get ready for tomorrow’s episode, TVLine has an interview with Paul Wesley in which he discusses whether Stefan/Elena fans should have hope and Stefan’s fundamental instability:
“I don’t think Stefan is going to, you know, go back to ripping off heads and being maniacally out of control anytime soon, but I don’t know. That’s one of the most important things about Stefan, that no matter how moderate he becomes and how stabilized he is, in supporting that as an actor, I always convey that sense of danger around the corner, that he could potentially bite somebody’s head off at any minute. That’s what makes him compelling and interesting and dynamic.”
And over at Hollywood Life, Candice Accola gives some scoop on the future of Caroline’s various friendships and relationships. Basically everything she says is spoilery for recent episodes, so we’re not going to risk quoting it, but you should definitely head over and check it out!
We have yet another video from the PaleyFest press line! IGN interviewed Kat Graham, Matt Davis, Paul Wesley, Candice Accola, and Ian Somerhalder about what’s in store for their characters when the show returns, including Bonnie’s relationship with her mother, Alaric’s relationship with his magical ring, and Caroline’s relationship with sparkly jewelry.
Hollywood Crush caught up with Candice Accola at PaleyFest, and asked her about what’s going on with Caroline these days. How is she handling having the Originals in town? What’s her worldview like these days? Spoilers for everything up through All My Children (EP315), and a few hints about things to come.
And the PaleyFest interviews just keep on coming! E!Online has you covered with interviews with Julie Plec, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Candice Accola, and Matt Davis. Warning: Spoilers through All My Children (EP315) abound, and there are lots of hints about upcoming episodes as well!
In this wide-ranging interview, Julie discusses the most important relationship on the show, flashbacks, the love triangle, Caroline and Klaus, what Jeremy and Tyler are up to, and more:
