Bad news, everybody. It looks like Joseph Morgan will not be able to attend #TVDChicago as planned. We’re completely heartbroken wailing like banshees very disappointed over this turn of events, but we know Creation Entertainment will do their best to get another great guest for the convention. There’s information on the Creation page for anyone who already purchased specific photo op or autograph tickets, so make sure to check it out if you need to make any adjustments to your plans.

Hey, UK fans! Malese Jow has been confirmed via Twitter that she will appear at Insurgence 4, a convention taking place June 22-24 in Birmingham, UK. Ian Somerhalder, Daniel Gillies, Steven R. McQueen, and Paul Wesley have already been confirmed for the event. We’ll be keeping you updated as more guests are announced, so keep an eye out for more Insurgence news as it becomes available. Lucky Texas! Looks like Julie Plec (who is also on the advisory board for the festival) and Arielle Kebbel will be heading to the ATX Television Festival in Austin, TX. The event starts June 1st, 2012. TV Guide has the full story about the new festival, what it’s about and why it’s going to be awesome. If you’re in the area it definitely looks like something worth checking out!

Paul Wesley has been confirmed as a guest for Toronto Comic Con, which will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on April 14-15, 2012. (Thanks to TheTelevixen.com for the tip!) Paul will be appearing on Saturday only. (He’s scheduled for Creation Entertainment’s TVD Chicago Convention on Sunday.) There’s no exact programming schedule yet, but if we get more information, we’ll let you know!

Tyler Lockwood may be in the doghouse with Team Caroline, but we love Michael Trevino! Creation Entertainment has added the actor to the guest lists of both the San Francisco and the Parsippany, N.J. conventions, and he’ll also be appearing at the Chicago event in April. Congratulations, TVD! It was announced today that The Vampire Diaries will be among the honorees at this year’s William S. Paley Television Festival, aka PaleyFest 2012. We covered the event in 2010, and we’re very excited to see the show heading back this year! So excited, in fact, that Vee is going to make every effort to be there herself.

Beverly Hills, CA, January 10, 2012 – The Paley Center for Media today announced the full lineup of honorees for the upcoming PaleyFest: The William S. Paley Television Festival, with the latest additions including freshman series New Girl and Revenge, as well as returning favorites The Office, Castle, The Vampire Diaries and Community.
If you’re interested in supporting Vampire Diaries at the event, it will be taking place at Saban Theater in Beverly Hills on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 7:00 pm. The panel is to be announced, we’ll give you more details as soon as we have them. The People’s Choice Awards announced today that Nina Dobrev will appear at their award ceremony next week. No official word yet on whether she’ll be presenting – they called the list she was on “presenters/attendees” – but fingers crossed! They’ll be announcing more appearances as the week progresses, so we’ll keep you updated! The People’s Choice Awards will air on Wednesday, January 11 at 9/8c on CBS.
In addition to Nina’s nomination for Favorite TV Drama Actress, The Vampire Diaries is up for Favorite TV Drama and Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show, and Ian Somerhalder is nominated for Favorite TV Drama Actor.

Looks like Creation Entertainment has been busy booking guests! All three currently scheduled conventions (Chicago, San Francisco and Parsippany, N.J.) now have their own pages on Creation’s site and actors penciled in to attend.
For the San Francisco convention (July 28-29, 2012) they’ve added Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley and Zach Roerig to the guest list.
For the Parsippany, N.J. event (August 18-19, 2012), Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Zach Roerig and Steven R. McQueen are scheduled to appear.
We’re also getting ever closer to TVD Chicago (April 14-15, 2012). Gold ticket packages are almost sold out for the Chicago event, so if you’re planning to get one, act soon. As always, we’ll keep you posted with more info on additional guests as it becomes available.

Heads up, German fans! Looks like there’s a Vampire Diaries convention coming your way next year. Bloody*Con 2012 will be taking place in Bonn, Germany, from June 8th-10th, 2012. The guests listed so far are Daniel Gillies, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder.

We got some emails recently from fans concerned about Creation Entertainment’s upcoming conventions, TVDNJ (August 18-19 2012) & TVDSanFran (July 28-29, 2012), but never fear, both conventions are still on the schedule. Looks like Creation was doing some site updates, which is why these two events were temporarily MIA, but everything is back where it should be now.
Even better news, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder have both been scheduled to appear at the NJ convention. Tickets are on sale now, you can learn all about the event here at Creation’s site.
We don’t have any info yet about who will be appearing in San Francisco, but we’ll let you know as soon as we have official news!
