Everyone getting ready for Comic-Con? Once again, TV Guide Magazine will be featuring The Vampire Diaries along with other Warner Bros. shows on the covers of its special Comic-Con collectible issue. This year, the magazine has “flip” covers, so there are pictures on both front and back. Want one? Here’s where they’ll be:
The Warner Bros. TV Guide Magazine special issues will be distributed at the Warner Bros. booth — #4545 on the convention floor — throughout Comic-Con, beginning on preview night, Wednesday, July 11, and continuing through Sunday, July 15.
For those unable to attend Comic-Con in person, all four sets of collectible “flip” covers will be on sale from July 17 at newsstands wherever TV Guide Magazine is sold. And for the first time, the special issue will also be available for purchase on the NOOK by Barnes and Noble.
Last week, Warner Bros. announced which shows would be making the studio’s annual trek to Comic Comic International in San Diego this July and, as expected, The Vampire Diaries cast and creators will be making their fourth appearance at the world’s biggest pop culture event.
Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson will be anchoring the Vampire Diaries panel in Ballroom 20 on Saturday, July 14th, time TBA. Additional panelists expected to be announced later.
Also, from the WB press release:
PLEASE NOTE: Series stars and creative teams scheduled to attend are subject to change. Additional information on panel sessions, signings and other events will be provided as news breaks. Panel times will be announced in the coming weeks.
And if you’re making the trip to San Diego next month, be sure to check out the WB’s screening of Matt Davis‘s new show Cult on Wednesday, July 11th, in Ballroom 20.
It’s that time of year again – TV Guide is polling their readers to determine which show should get this year’s Fan Favorites cover. The Vampire Diaries is up against nine other popular shows like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, so it needs your vote! Just go to TV Guide’s Facebook page, Like it, and click on your choice of show to make the cover. You can also enter to win an autographed copy of their Comic-Con special issue. You can only enter the sweepstakes once, but you can vote as many times as you want between now and October 31, so get clicking! The winner will be revealed in the December 12th issue of TV Guide Magazine.
Zap2it has posted a recent interview with Candice Accola and Michael Trevino about what’s coming up for their characters in season three:
And The TV Chick has posted another of her Comic Con videos, to go with the Julie one posted yesterday! See what Candice has to say about birthday parties, love triangles, and more.
The TV Chick has posted a great video interview with Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec. It’s a little old – from Comic-Con – but it had some things we hadn’t heard before, so we thought we’d go ahead and share it with you. Julie talks about how hard it was to kill off Jenna, how much she dislikes it when spoilers get out (and why), and what Damon would rather eat glass than do.
Check out this cool little teaser video of photo shoot footage from the TV Guide Magazine Comic Con 2011 Special Issue. There are a lot of shows in here, so watch carefully for the The Vampire Diaries shots!
