The Vampire Diaries at Comic Con International 2012

The Vampire Diaries Heads to Comic Con International 2012 Last week, Warner Bros. announced which shows would be making the studio’s annual trek to Comic Comic International in San Diego this July and, as expected, The Vampire Diaries cast and creators will be making their fourth appearance at the world’s biggest pop culture event.

Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson will be anchoring the Vampire Diaries panel in Ballroom 20 on Saturday, July 14th, time TBA. Additional panelists expected to be announced later.

Also, from the WB press release:

PLEASE NOTE: Series stars and creative teams scheduled to attend are subject to change. Additional information on panel sessions, signings and other events will be provided as news breaks. Panel times will be announced in the coming weeks.

And if you’re making the trip to San Diego next month, be sure to check out the WB’s screening of Matt Davis‘s new show Cult on Wednesday, July 11th, in Ballroom 20.

Tonight we flash back to the beginning of season three with The Birthday (EP301)! It’s the perfect way to celebrate today’s announcement that The Vampire Diaries will be returning for season four in its usual Thursday 8/7c timeslot in October. But tonight, tune in an hour later: at least for now, summer reruns are airing at 9/8c.

Nina Dobrev as Elena We have official word from the CW Network – The Vampire Diaries will stay in its current timeslot for its fourth season, starting in Fall 2012, on Thursdays at 8/7c. It will be followed by new show Beauty and the Beast at 9/8c. It looks like the CW will be starting its season in October this year. We don’t have an official premiere date yet, but as soon as we do, we’ll let you know!

We’re not even going to speculate about what could happen tonight. This is a Vampire Diaries finale, so all bets are off.
