The Hollywood Reporter has some new (spoilers!) images from the April 19th episode, Heart Of Darkness (EP319). Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Nathaniel Buzolic and the much-missed Steven R. McQueen all appear in these stills, and things don’t look especially friendly.

Give Me My Remote interviewed Paul Wesley at PaleyFest, but it looks like they held this one back as it’s particularly relevant to tonight’s episode (spoilers). Paul talks a bit about Stefan and Elena and what needs to happen before he thinks they could really be together as a couple. He also touches on Stefan’s relationship with Rebekah and Klaus, and how those play into the current situation.
Meanwhile, TVLine has a (SPOILER!) tidbit from Julie Plec about what’s ahead for Bonnie Bennett over the next few episodes, especially where it comes to a particular fella who is definitely not her brother.
We expressed our own curiosity about Bonnie’s storyline in last week’s 20ish Questions column. Let’s see if Julie Plec can sate our thirst. “Bonnie hits her emotional threshold this week, but don’t despair,” the exec producer tells the Inside Line. “She finds a nice bit of hope when she gets closer to Jamie and takes him as her date to the Decade Dance where he gets a glimpse of Bonnie the hero in action.”

We’re only hours away from a brand new episode of The Vampire Diaries and Ian Somerhalder tells Zap2It about tonight’s introduction of the “badass” Sage, played by guest star Cassidy Freeman. He also discusses Damon stepping up as an older brother to Stefan and how that affects his dynamic with Elena. Oh, and he also teased this:
Somerhalder can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store for the brothers as the season winds toward its conclusion. “I just talked to [producer Pascal Verschooris] last night, because we just got episode 21, which is episode 65… and I just learned about what the finale is. It’s really dynamic, man. There’s so much stuff happening.”
When we asked him if the finale would make us cry: “Yes,” he said bluntly.

And E!Online chats with Paul Wesley about the relationship between Stefan and Damon, Stefan’s dark side, and goes quite in-depth about the long road still ahead for Stefan and Elena.
Though Stefan will not have an easy time with it, Wesley says the process will lead him back to Elena. “The more he deals with moderation, the closer he grows to Elena. He was so involved in his own darkness, he didn’t have any time for romance. As the episodes progress, the audience is going to see Stefan maybe becoming more like he was season one and two, sort of the romantic lead hero.”

TV Guide caught up with Matt Davis to chat about Alaric’s complicated love life (will the guy ever catch a break?), which Salvatore brother he’d choose to kill, his favorite kills, and why Vampire Diaries is a lot like Survivor.
TV Guide Magazine: Have you had a favorite kill so far?
Davis: I haven’t been doing much killing lately, so I would have to say that my favorites are whenever Damon kills me.TV Guide Magazine: And that happens so often! How many times has Alaric died already?
Davis: I don’t know, five or six. It’s like a regular thing.
