Spoiler alert! This week’s TV Guide Vampire Diaries Bite teases Elena’s choice of Salvatores (don’t worry, they don’t actually say) and addresses the issue of who might be getting a smooch. While there’s no outright revelations, there are some pretty strong hints. Remember, there might be some misdirection going on here, we’ve all been tricked before!
Next week’s Vampire Diaries Season 3 finale is so big, the CW has gifted us with TWO webclips to whet those appetites leading to Thursday, May 10th. Are you ready? Check out the videos below before you decide.
The Hollywood Reporter sat down with Ian Somerhalder to discuss the answer to this question: “How would Damon deal with the fact that Elena could choose either brother (or even neither)?” Watch his response below:
And The Insider caught up with Persia White to chat about the final three episodes of The Vampire Diaries Season 3:
Insider: Does she get in the mix with magic in the upcoming episodes?
Persia: Abby helps Bonnie in a pretty pivotal way that involves witchcraft in these last episodes. I know Abby isn’t in a stable place but her help causes some twists that lead to the big events of the season finale. They’re heavily influenced by the problems Abby is helping Bonnie with.
As part of the run-up to May sweeps, we’re getting some fun new promotional images from the CW. E!Online has an exclusive look at some beautiful artwork of Elena and a rose – with the tagline “A future blooms.” Intriguing! Is it referring to a romantic future – or something else? And why is she crying? Speculating about that should help tide us over until Thursday, right?
Sweeps is upon us, so that means the CW is headed into the final promo push for The Vampire Diaries Season 3. Check out the poster below and start speculating in the comments about that new tagline: Soon the last drop will be drawn. Click the poster to see a bigger version in the Gallery, or check out the textless version. You can also see a more general “four episodes left” version via the CW’s Judy Yam.
The webclip for Heart of Darkness (EP319) is finally up on the CW’s YouTube channel for everyone to sink their teeth into! Elena, Alaric, deep conversation, and Damon’s attempts at humour!
In this week’s Vampire Diaries Bite, TV Guide‘s Robyn Ross has some intriguing teases about the season finale from Ian Somerhalder, Joseph Morgan, and Paul Wesley. Paul on the dynamic between Stefan and Damon heading into the finale and beyond:
“Stefan and Damon will always love each other, but they’ll always be in love the same girl. They’ll die that way or they’ll live that way for the rest of their lives.”
And watch the Bite for some scoop from phone interviews with Joseph Morgan and Ian Somerhalder:
The Vampire Diaries returns on Thursday, April 19th with the final four episodes of Season 3 and that means the CW is cranking up the promo machine for the all-important May sweeps. Entertainment Weekly has the exclusive first look at the first of this season’s posters, featuring Elena, Stefan, Damon, and Klaus – in an important location, perhaps? Check out the full-sized poster at EW.com.
ON SEASON FINALES AND SPOILERS: And this is just a reminder that as we head towards the season finale, the blog becomes stricter on spoilers for future episodes. If you want to discuss spoilers, we urge you to head towards the discussion forum. Please try to be careful with blog comments as we have many readers who very much would like to remain surprised about future events.
Got the post-holiday, mid-hiatus blues? How about a shiny, new promotional image of our favourite trio to cheer you all up! As always, click on the image for access to a larger version in the gallery, and check out the textless version, too.
We may have a few more weeks to wait for a new episode, but at least we’re getting some tidbits to tide us over. TV Overmind has thirteen – count ‘em, THIRTEEN – episode stills from Heart of Darkness (EP319), showing Elena, Damon, Jeremy, and Kol in some rather interesting circumstances. Warning: Some of these images are pretty spoilery – or doing a good job of tricking us all – so don’t click through if you don’t want to know! (There are a few outtakes from The Murder of One (EP318) mixed in too.) Heart of Darkness (EP319) will air on April 19.
