The CW have released some public service announcements in order to promote Network for Good’s Haiti quake relief efforts. The PSAs contain messages from cast members from the Vampire Diaries as well as other CW shows. We’ll let the videos speak for themselves.

We blogged a while back about Kayla Ewell appearing on That Morning Show. It took some time, but the video of that interview is now up on YouTube. She talks about a lot of stuff, from Vampire Diaries and working with everyone in Atlanta, to her time on The Bold and the Beautiful.
In a quick roundup of links, PopEater have a short interview with Zach Roerig. Amber has sent us a variation on the Halloween Bites advert, Halloween Sucks. Vampire Diaries adverts are all over the place, and while we really should learn to expect the unexpected when it comes to this show, aerial advertising was something that managed to surprise me. Oh, and don’t forget, you have less than two hours to bid on Paul Wesley’s breast cancer bear. It’s an awesome cause, and well worth supporting.

REMINDER: Paul Wesley’s breast cancer bear auction ends in hours. Less than 14 hours, to be exact. The only bear in LisaWalks.com’s most recent batch making more than Paul right now is the Nathan “Captain Tightpants” Fillion bear. That’s pretty epic, so let’s see if Vampire Diaries fans can’t push Paul’s over the top.
Winner of the auction not only receives the autographed bear and the photo of Paul, but Lisa’s throwing in a copy of Ian Somerhalder’s picture (2006) as well.

Some of you (particularly Whedonverse enthusiasts) may already be familiar with Lisa Spodak’s amazing “Lisa Walks” auctions, but in case you’re not, we’ll let her introduce herself:
My name is Lisa and every year I walk in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer…. a 2-day, marathon-and-a-half walk to raise money and awareness to fight breast cancer.
One of the ways I raise money is to ask celebrities to sign little tags that I attach to breast cancer bears and auction off along with a picture of the celebrity with a bear.
Lisa got in touch to let us know her latest batch of Project Teddy Bear 2009 auctions includes Vampire Diaries‘ very own Paul Wesley. You can bid on his bear over on eBay (auction ends in six days).
UPDATE: Lisa lets us know that those of you on Twitter who tweet a link to the Paul auction will be automatically entered to win a print of the photo featured above. A picture of Paul! With a bear! Details can be found here.

New York’s WPIX-TV (Channel 11) – where Paul Wesley made an appearance this past Monday – will have a special event on Thursday, Sept. 10th, aka the day Vampire Diaries takes its bow on the CW.
Ian Somerhalder, former Lost castaway and current star of The CW’s Vampire Diaries and PIX are teaming up with the New York Blood Center to conduct a blood drive outside of PIX studios at 220 East 42nd Street on Thursday, September 10th, from 6am-11:30am.
PIX will be broadcasting LIVE from the event and our entire morning news crew will be on hand in support of the blood drive effort.
