The CW knows that we’re all gasping through the last few weeks of hiatus, and they’ve taken pity on us today. In this video, Zach Roerig talks about where things left off for Matt Donovan in Season 3, and how he feels about his character’s continuing humanity in a town where most of the kids are anything (and everything!) but human.
The CW has posted a brief but snazzy interview with Daniel Gillies. He talks Elijah, mythology, and the TVD fanbase. (I think we all can agree that we – the fans – are the lucky ones, right?)
The CW has released a nifty little video message congratulating the TVD cast on their Teen Choice Awards. No new footage, but hey, it’s hiatus, we’ll take what we can get. Can you name all the episodes clipped in the video? Give it your best shot in comments!
Hot off the CW presses: The Vampire Diaries returns for Season 4 on Thursday, October 11th.
On Thursdays, The CW’s top-rated series, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, returns for another season of bloody-good drama on October 11 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), followed by the romantic new series BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET), starring Kristin Kreuk as a homicide detective and Jay Ryan as a doctor with a very dark side.
(Yes, it’s still far away, but we will survive.)

The long summer hiatus has begun but this feature on Paul Wesley from Mr Porter is a gorgeous distraction from counting down the hours until season 4 begins. Paul admits that Stefan’s taste is rubbing off on him a little, at least when it comes to boots. On the topic of acting, he is characteristically down to earth and open about his experiences, both good and bad.
“One year I had a really bad experience where I didn’t get a pilot that I really wanted and it psychologically damaged me. I had to retrain myself to have the confidence to go in and do what I do as an actor,” he continues. “I know there are always going to be ups and downs – I don’t care if you’re Johnny Depp or Ryan Gosling – you’re always aspiring.”
This feature also includes some really gorgeous pictures. Since it’s a fashion site, there’s also plenty of info about the clothes.
The Hollywood Reporter has some new (spoilers!) images from the April 19th episode, Heart Of Darkness (EP319). Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Nathaniel Buzolic and the much-missed Steven R. McQueen all appear in these stills, and things don’t look especially friendly.
We’re still a couple weeks away from 1912 (EP316), but TV Guide is doing its part to keep the fans from dying of impatience. This week’s Vampire Diaries Bite features Ian Somerhalder talking about flashbacks and brotherhood.
Speaking of flashbacks (or throwbacks, anyway) thanks to a (spoiler!) tweet from Julie Plec, we now know that those Mystic Falls kids will be heading back to school, or at least to the building, for another decade dance. This time it’s back to the 1920s, and we can’t wait to see what everyone puts on for that!
THIS POST IS A STICKY. KEEP SCROLLING FOR NEW POSTS.
COMPLETE SONGLIST FOR ALL MY CHILDREN (EP315)
Things ain’t looking so good for Elena tonight, and while we support our heroine fully, the Vampire-Diaries.net staff can’t help but be a little worried about the fates of The Originals. We’ve got more witchy hijinks, more plans that could go horribly, horribly wrong, and Alaric propping up the bar of the Mystic Grill as he should. Just another Thursday in Mystic Falls.
We’re sorry to inform you that the show goes on hiatus again after tonight, and won’t be returning until March 15th. We hate hiatuses as much as you do, but they’re a necessary evil to make sure they have enough episodes filmed and ready to air.
Watch and then swing by here to rate the new episode of The Vampire Diaries. Spoilers are welcome in the comments, though if you want more in-depth discussion then head on over to the forums! (You’ll need to register, but it takes two seconds.)
And be sure to check out tonight’s brand new behind the scenes video at The Vampire Diaries Stakeout.
Quick guide to the poll options: The Mikaelson family tree was a kickass spell last week and just looks totally cool. 5 family trees = LOVE, 1 family tree = MEH.
