We’ve got another webclip for this Thursday’s episode, American Gothic (EP418), this one exclusively at TVLine. Click through to watch!
Damon! Stefan! Snark! And baked goods in the offing for Sheriff Forbes! It’s time for a webclip from American Gothic (EP418)!
Claire Holt recently chatted with Zap2it about The Originals spinoff and more. On Rebekah and Katherine:
“It’s kind of funny,” Claire tells us. “They’re so similar in a way, but so different in a way. I think Rebekah likes having the power. She likes controlling situations. I think she’s liked to play that sort of vixen role in Mystic Falls, and Katherine has been the ultimate vixen, so I don’t think they’re going to be the best of friends, that’s for sure.”
There’s also a non-embeddable video, so make sure you click over!
Parade Magazine sat down with Ian Somerhalder to discuss The Vampire Diaries and lots more. Watch the video below:
On this week’s Vampire Diaries Bite at TV Guide, Ian Somerhalder talks about Damon in the 1970s and his relationship with Lexi, as well as his feelings toward Elena at the moment: “Damon gets another side of Elena that really solidifies that he’s not a fan of her current state.”
We have another clip from Thursday’s episode of the Vampire Diaries, Because the Night (EP417), featuring Damon, Elena and Rebekah enjoying a performance by the band Dead Sara! Enjoy!
Miss Ian Somerhalder‘s livestream with HuffPost Live this afternoon? Head on over to their chat page and watch the recorded chat in its entirety!
Then head over to Entertainment Weekly to read Ian’s thoughts on the cure and Silas:
…asked to contemplate what Damon’s life would be like if he were somehow forced to take it, Somerhalder offers this vision: “Hypothetically, if he did, I think the second it kicked in and he realized he was human, there would be an overwhelming sense of… [sighs]. But then, ‘Well, I’ve lived quite a while, I’m gonna grow old naturally and die.’”
Miss Candice Accola on KTLA Morning News yesterday morning? Never fear – check out the full interview below!
And Ian Somerhalder stopped by PIX Morning News to chat about the return of new Vampire Diaries episodes tonight at 8pm.
Want to be part of a HuffPost Live livestream with Ian Somerhalder? Yeah, we thought you might.
So here’s the deal: Tomorrow – that’s Thursday, March 14th! – you can head to HuffPost Live at 3pm ET and take part in Ian’s livestream chat.
Where? Right here, on HuffPost Live. (Remember: 3pm ET tomorrow!) Ian will be live and ready for questions there and then.

The Vampire Diaries returns tomorrow with Bring It On (EP416), so we also have the return of TV Guide‘s Vampire Diaries Bite video feature. This week, Ian Somerhalder discusses the new Elena:
“It’s super cool to see this super empowered woman where the boys aren’t scared she’s going to walk out the door and get killed because she’s a badass chick who can hold her own.”
ETOnline interviewed Ian Somerhalder this morning about the recent happenings in Mystic Falls and, just in case you thought everything might be puppies and rainbows… Oh, who are we kidding? No one who watches this show ever thinks that. And Ian more or less confirms that the road is still rocky.
ETonline: It’s also got to be exciting as an actor that TVD allows you to play your character at various points in their life. We’ve seen Damon throughout the decades, and next week shows him circa 1970.
Somerhalder: Yeah, you hit the nail on the head. Our artisans and production design team went in and not only re-built CBGB’s but recreated the feeling of the ’70s [in Because the Night, airing March 21]. It’s so cool because you get to experience so many times in [Damon's] life. Now mind you, because there were so many decades, I think he evolved slower than most. I also love that because we get to go back and romanticize the social happenings of that time, we’re really reminded of The United States’ deep history and what Damon lived through is just a drop in the bucket compared to the other characters, who can go back thousands of years.
READ THE ENTIRE INTERVIEW AT ETONLINE. CAUTION: SPOILERS THROUGH STAND BY ME (EP415)!
