Dead keen to find out what’s going to happen to Jeremy in season 2 of the Vampire Diaries? You won’t have to wait long, as Kevin Williamson revealed that’s going to be the first thing we find out about when ‘The Return’ premieres on September 9… though no word as to whether he’ll be living or undead. Along with this information, Hollywood Crush also reveal that Jeremy is going to be dealing with a change in his view of the world, and will be striking up an unlikely friendship. You can read the entire article over on Hollywood Crush, and watch the video of Steven talking about Jeremy below.

Futon Critic has a series of “A Few Minutes With…” video interviews with the Vampire Diaries cast: Nina Dobrev, Michael Trevino, Steven R. McQueen, Paul Wesley, Matt Davis and Kevin Williamson. You can watch Kevin’s interview below and click everyone’s names to watch their video over on Futon Critic.
MTV’s Hollywood Crush continues to toss out interesting segments from their own video interviews; this new one is with Steven and Kevin and there are some definite hints about Katherine, Elena, and why the two look exactly alike:
Over on SyFy’s Blastr, Kevin Williamson discusses gay characters on The Vampire Diaries, diversity in general, and finding a good story (and provides a few more Season 2 hints in the process):
Williamson also won’t force a character to be gay when they need to be something else for the show. He’s writing a few guest-star parts now that won’t work as gay characters. “There’s plenty of characters coming, but the couple of regular characters that we’re bringing in are female, so I guess they could be lesbians, but we’re bringing them in for love interests. Once the wheels are in motion, it’s hard just to add something simply because you want to do it.”

So much good stuff from Comic Con – buckling under the weight of it all. First up – BuzzSugar has press room interview footage with Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Kevin Williamson, and Matt Davis. One particularly interesting tidbit dropped: Kev says the fourth episode of Season 2 will be an 1864 flashback episode.
And DigitalSpy has several one-on-ones with the Vampire Diaries crew. You can see the Julie Plec interview below and check out Kevin Williamson, Matt Davis, Nina Dobrev, and Paul Wesley over on DigitalSpy’s YouTube channel.

EW’s Michael Ausiello sat down for a chat with the Vampire Diaries gang who were at Comic Con on Saturday to discuss all kinds of season 2 tidbits. The first interview is with Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder and Matt Davis, and the second is with Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec, Steven R. McQueen and Michael Trevino. No embed, so you need to head on over to the EW article to see Matt’s purple pants them.
UPDATE: For those of you confused about the conflicting Duke spoilers, Julie has kindly cleared it up for us. Elena will be accompanying Alaric and Damon on the trip to Duke.
And there’s an interview with Matt Davis up on KTLA in which Jenna and Isobel are discussed, along with Alaric’s friendship with Damon and whether he would be tempted by becoming a vampire.

E!’s Watch with Kristin cornered Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Steven R. McQueen, Matt Davis, and Kevin Williamson on the Comic Con press line and topics range from happy endings (and the lack thereof), the fun in tricking the Vampire Diaries audience, and the weirdness of bodyguards to crime-fighting teams and new characters, and more.
You can watch Steven’s interview below (we love his overall take on Jeremy in Season 2: “You know, he’s got so many loose screws that I think he’s an entity unto himself”) and watch the rest of the interviews over on E!Online.

TV Guide’s William Keck caught up with Vampire Diaries producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec at Comic Con and they spill a lot about what they’re keeping in mind as they delve into Season 2. So for everyone who’s wondered about Bonnie’s parents, Caroline’s dad, those mortality issues, and exactly how connected Tyler will be to a full moon… Well, this is a good read. They’re thinking about this stuff, too.
(Also – may have swooned a bit over the “wall of death” mention. Red and I joke about this all the time.)
TV Guide Magazine: What about another Halloween episode?
Williamson: We’re not looking at the show as if a whole year has passed, but we will have an episode timed to Halloween, which will be a huge masquerade ball that we’re now thinking of as a possible two-parter. S–t will hit the fan.
Because the last Halloween bash ended so well!

Don’t worry, we’re still adding all links to the big Comic Con post, but TV.com caught up with the Vampire Diaries folk (all of ‘em! together!) just before their WB booth signing and talked the Vampire Diaries books, anti-heroes, villains, and hints at what’s in store for Season 2.
Also, TV.com NOW Awards update (sorry, there’s been so much info) – in addition to Ian snagging Best New Bad Guy, Vampire Diaries won Editor’s Choice for Best Show and Paul won Sexiest Vampire. (HA! at his reaction.)
First video with Michael Trevino, Kevin Williamson, Ian Somerhalder, and Matt Davis:
Second video with Steven R. McQueen, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and Julie Plec:

You can follow along live on @tvdnews – the lovely Jen is at the Con. (If you see her, wish her a happy birthday!)
For those of us who weren’t lucky enough to be at the channel, we were treated to a live stream via uStream. Many thanks to Dread Central for setting that up. Please note that this footage does not contain the season 2 premiere footage.
If you have links you think we should add, leave ‘em in the comments! Every little bit helps.
Thanks to Ian Somerhalder tweeting the promotional code, U.S. fans can get a sneak peek at the Vampire Diaries DVD gag reel. Find out how.

When you have so many people on one stage, you know you’re not going to get the most in-depth commentary on any one particular thing, but Kevin Williamson managed to drop a few cool tidbits during TV Guide’s Hot List 2010 panel at Comic Con on Friday. Joining Kev on the panel: Elizabeth Mitchell, Morena Baccarin, and Morris Chestnutt of V, Chi McBride (Human Target), Zach Levi (Chuck), Julie Benz (No Ordinary Family), and Summer Glau, David Lyon, and Keith David of The Cape. And the whole shebang was moderated by Craig Tomashoff of TV Guide (he also moderated the Vampire Diaries PaleyFest panel in March). Footage of the Nina, Paul, and Ian TV Guide Magazine photoshoot played on the big screen (Jen managed to snag a cool shot of Nina!, as well as the final scene of Founder’s Day. And TV Guide Magazine tweeted a cool shot of KW talking.
Some KW soundbites (courtesy of Jen via @tvdnews, unless otherwise stated):
First episode of the new season was wrapped on Thursday; “finger cliffhanger” also wrapped.
Katherine’s finale appearance and the kiss was planned from day one.
“I think Nina does a remarkable job…she’s going to wow everybody this year, playing both roles.” (via @TVGuideMagazine)
The aim of Vampire Diaries is to fall between Twilight and True Blood. (via @MonstersofTV)
They’re “going to blow the lid off mystic falls. The werewolf will show up & the triangle is now a square.” (via @TVGuideEIC)
MORE PHOTOS IN GALLERY. (Via Daylife)
The Warner Bros. party was also tonight, but we’ll catch up with that in the morning. In the meantime, you can check out an assortment of randomness: Michael talking with press (via @dreadcentral), Nina hanging with a Stormtrooper and with Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies, annnnnnnnnd @TVGuideEIC caught up with Ian Somerhalder at the WB party and he had something very interesting to say about what Damon may or may not have known during the final moments of the finale (spoilery!).
