Young Holllywood has an awesome video interview with Joseph Morgan. He gives Vampire Face 101, fesses up to a little reality TV and has his vampire knowledge tested.
The Insider also has a video interview with Joseph, where he has some ideas on who he’d like to see cast as the Original parents and how excited he is for the new season. He also has some things to say about his new movie Immortals, and the challenges of dressing in jeans.
“Wearing jeans and a t-shirt is weird for me,” he laughs. “I feel comfortable in britches and leather doublets. I keep telling [the Vampire Diaries writers] to put a horse into the flashbacks. I can ride very well … although I’m not sure how vampires and animals mix.” Then, without missing a beat, he jokes, “we could do vampire horses, maybe that’s the next step in Klaus’ plan!’

We’ve got two juicy interviews with Julie Plec from TV Addict and TVLine to share, covering a whole range of topics and teasers for Season 3. Klaus and Stefan, Damon and Elena, Jeremy and the Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Alaric and the Mystic Grill bar… there’s stuff in these interviews that will be interesting to everyone.
Can you talk about the relationship that has come about with Klaus and Stefan? Will it always be the puppet-master and puppet, or will their relationship evolve into something different?
JULIE: I think if you look back at the scenes between Klaus and Elijah, you’ll get a sense of that dynamic with Elijah of course being the older brother to Klaus, but also being in his own way strangely controlling and deferential at the same time. I’m going to be looking forward to seeing Klaus and Stefan’s relationship have an evolution that is not just, ‘I’m evil and you’re my minion.’ I think we can have some more fun with that. So I’m hoping that the audience connects to Klaus and Stefan as an unlikely duo.
TVLINE | Between Jack Coleman and Sebastian Roche coming on, there are a lot of new adults on the show. Is the Founders Council going to be playing a bigger role in the new season?
Yeah. The Founders Council, in their own sad, tragic, ineffective way, is still very much a part of our world. Between Caroline and Tyler’s relationship and what Mayor Lockwood and Sheriff Forbes have to say about it and then, ultimately, with the returning element of a member of the town coming in [via] Jack Coleman… Even Alaric’s saying, “Well, hang on a second. Who’s the advocate over here for the not supernatural people?” Alaric’s role is to kick the council in the ass a little bit and say, “You guys are falling asleep on the watch and somebody needs to stand in here and make sure that the humans are protected in this town.”
