Seat42f has Warner Bros.’ official Comic Con 2010 press release and the Vampire Diaries has been confirmed for Saturday, July 24th at 4:15 p.m. in Ballroom 20. If you’ve been to Comic Con International, you know that Ballroom 20 is a considerable upgrade from last year’s room.
Also – nice one, @CW_VampDiaries, for getting a mention in the release!

4:15–5:00 p.m. The Vampire Diaries Screening and Q&A – The cast and creative team behind The Vampire Diaries return to take a bite out of Comic-Con! Series stars Nina Dobrev (Degrassi: The Next Generation), Paul Wesley (Roll Bounce), Ian Somerhalder (Lost), Michael Trevino (Cane) and Matt Davis (Blue Crush) join executive producers/writers Kevin Williamson (Scream) and Julie Plec (Kyle XY) to show fans a fang-tastic season one highlight reel, followed by a Q&A session. This edgy, romantic drama quickly became the number one series on The CW in its first season. The Vampire Diaries director/co-executive producer Marcos Siega (Dexter) will moderate the panel. Conception Allen over at Blast Magazine has been able to tell us the Vampire Diaries cast members who’ll be putting in an appearance at this year’s Comic Con on July 24. In addition to Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder (all of whom appeared at the event last year), Michael Trevino and Matt Davis will also be in attendance. And for those who haven’t already heard, Marcos Siega will be moderating the panel. For those of you who are lucky enough to be going this year, we reckon you should be in for a real treat with this panel.

More fun cast interviews from the Young Hollywood Awards red carpet – Hollywire.com chats with Zach Roerig, Michael Trevino, Matt Davis, and Steven R. McQueen. This one’s all over the place, so expect a lot of silly. (Apparently, Matt Davis is working to become a Jedi. Admit it – that scares you because it makes sense, doesn’t it?)

MTV caught up with the Vampire Diaries cast on the Young Hollywood red carpet last night and they all talked about the season finale, which was happening n’ exploding all over Twitter as they were being interviewed. Paul Wesley, Candice Accola, Steven R. McQueen, and Nina Dobrev all give their impressions of a “bonkers” finale.

Of course this big event had to happen the same night as the Vampire Diaries season finale, right? Last night most of the Vampire Diaries cast – Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Steven R. McQueen, Candice Accola, Michael Trevino, Sara Canning, Zach Roerig, and Matt Davis – attended the 12th annual Young Hollywood Awards. The entire cast received the Cast to Watch award and Nina accepted Avon’s Make Your Mark award. As you read this, Kelly Hu is chatting with The VRO in their third Vampire Diaries interview of May, aka Vampire Diaries Month. They’ve also added two more special guests to their line-up: Paul M. Sommers (Director of Photography) and Margeurite MacIntyre (Sheriff Forbes) will be dropping by to chat with fans later this month (see the full schedule below).
