Tierney Bricker of E!Online recently spent some time in Atlanta and talked to Nina Dobrev, Zach Roerig, and Ian Somerhalder about Elena’s romantic future. Do they think Elena will choose Stefan, Damon, or someone else entirely? Terron Moore of Ology just had brunch with Joseph Morgan, Zach Roerig, and Ian Somerhalder and got a nice serving of inside information, jokes, and TVD analogies to everyone from Batman to Yogi Bear to Kublai Khan. Warning: Spoilers through The Ties That Bind (EP312)! On Klaus’s trust issues:
JOSEPH: I think that there’s potential for him to change, yes, but it’s going to be really difficult. Because as well as being selfish, he’s incredibly paranoid. He’s spent the last 1000 years maintaining this lie he’s told his siblings. He’s the product of a dysfunctional family, having this horrible relationship with his father, being a bastard child, not feeling accepted by the rest of his family… so I think he has real issues with trust…
IAN: I feel like Klaus is what happened with Rome, or like, Kublai Khan. He’s created this empire of deceit, and he has to keep it down to protect himself.
Plus, Assignment X recently caught up with Candice Accola and asked her about shipping, stunts, and more. On how her dance training has helped:
“By no means was I going to be a professional dancer, but I grew up taking dance classes down the street and that’s actually been the most helpful in the stunt work, counting out the steps and “five, six, seven, eight, and punch.” It is funny how those little things that you learned as a kid that you don’t think are going to translate, all of a sudden, as an adult, they help you out in your job. So that was something that I did physically when I was young.”

Wetpaint caught up with Zach Roerig en route to a recent baseball game and got his thoughts on Matt this season. He talks about Jeremy and ghosts, the love triangle with Tyler and Caroline, and a very interesting question – should Matt and Elena should end up together?
I think one of the main reasons that Matt Donovan plays such a strong role in Mystic Falls is his relationship with Elena. And whether we see a lot of that now or not, it’s always implied in the past. Ultimately with Matt and Elena, they could, should, possibly end up being together. I just feel like there will eventually come a time in their lives when they realize that they can’t keep living this way.

The Insider‘s Jarett Wieselman just visited Mystic Falls – I mean, the Vampire Diaries set – and he’s got some great stuff for us, starting with a video interview with Candice Accola and Michael Trevino. Are Tyler and Caroline really like Romeo and Juliet? How do Candice and Michael feel about the show being on its third season? Head over to The Insider to watch the video.

The Insider‘s Jarett Weiselman gets more Season 3 goods from Kevin Williamson, who teases whether Katherine will return, Matt’s role in the Vicki/Anna/Bonnie/Jeremy story line, pushing the Vampire Diaries cast out of their comfort zone, the Original family, and The Ripper:
After being forced to embrace his dark side, the fight for Stefan Salvatore’s soul (or whatever it is that kept him so docile in the first two seasons) will be a driving force behind the new season. Williamson reveals: “He just goes crazy this season. But it’s an incremental change. It’s not just The Ripper — it’s a whole arc and we go through every single beat of it. It changes all along the way. The fun of this season will be watching Stefan go through this intense and bloody journey. Very bloody.”
