MTV Hollywood Crush has been posting more snippets from their Nina Dobrev interview this week and we’re collecting the latest three here in one post.

‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Nina Dobrev Not Ready For Elena To Become Vampire ‘Just Yet’

“I have fun playing a human and a vampire so I don’t want her to turn into a vampire just yet,” Nina said. “I’ve got my work cut out for me, and its fun to be human.”

‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Nina Dobrev Says Elena And Damon Have ‘Undeniable Chemistry’

“They have an undeniable chemistry and a undeniable je ne sais quoi. There’s something there that neither of them can really put their finger on—well at least Elena can’t,” Nina explained.

‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Nina Dobrev Promises Cliffhangers And Blood In Tonight’s ‘Katerina’ Episode

“As always on every ‘Vampire Diaries’ episode we end with a cliffhanger, and throughout the episode we find out a lot of shocking things, and we get scared and we see blood and you’re going to see all the above in that episode and all the rest,” Nina dished.

Popeater talks with Katerina Graham about Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries, Bonnie, and making art.

What’s ahead for Bonnie?
I can’t really say. I can say that Bonnie is really standing up for herself … and I’m really happy about it. She’s becoming a lot more empowered and stronger and not letting everyone walk all over her, which is awesome.

And Zap2It‘s Carina MacKenzie speculates on what’s in store for Tyler as The Vampire Diaries heads towards the Marcos Siega-directed episode 211. (We know it’s only for a visit, but welcome back, Mr. Siega!) Something to howl about? We think so.

If Trevino’s performance in this episode is half as good as his recent work, I’m sure it’s going to be quite a ride. Tyler isn’t exactly a talker, but Trevino manages to make even his quietest scenes powerful and often painful.

The Vampire Diaries TV SeriesThanks to Katerina Graham and @IHeartTVD for pointing out that Kat herself, as well as Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder, will be featured on tomorrow’s episode of MTV’s 10 on Top at 11:30am. Set your DVR! Hopefully the 10 on Top website will have a clip for posting later in the day. From their website:

Host Lenay Dunn will guide viewers through the countdown, introducing hot, new talent, and delivering up exclusive behind-the-scenes footage. It’s an entertaining summary of a week in the lives of young superstar entertainers–what deals they landed, whose hearts they broke, whose star is shining brightest right now, and whose will rise next.

In case you weren’t able to watch Paul Wesley’s interview on KTLA Morning News this morning, luckily Zap2It’s Carina MacKenzie was on set to tweet/blog the action and you can watch the video proper courtesy of KTLA. It was very fun, though we’d like to implore Paul to please stay away from the Hawaiian shirts. Check out Zap2It’s write-up.

MTV caught up with Nina Dobrev on the Scream Awards red carpet and she admits her job has perks. Watch the brief video over at Hollywood Crush.

“Literally, I’ve made my rounds,” she said with a smile. “Between Katherine and Elena, I’ve madeout with almost every boy on the show. Other than my brother, thankfully.” (Though we bet Steven R. McQueen is no slouch in the smooch department.)

And last, but certainly not least, WGN-Chicago caught up with Michael Trevino and Steven R. McQueen at last week’s Hot Topic Cast Tour signing in Chicago.

The Vampire Diaries TV SeriesTV Guide’s Natalie Abrams caught up with Julie Plec, who sheds more light on the plethora of Season 2 tidbits that came out of Comic Con this past weekend, and also explains that certain devastating events happen for a reason.

TVGuide.com: How close will you stay to the novels as you carry on?
Plec: The deeper we get into the series, ironically, the more we’re going to be taking from the books. That’s cool because we strayed so far so quickly, just by definition of trying to shape a good story in the right way for television. To find ourselves naturally returning to the source material and the villains that you met, it’s kind of awesome.

Villainssssss?

And MTV’s Hollywood Crush has posted two more videos from their Comic Con sitdown with the Vampire Diaries cast. You can check out a brief video of Julie discussing Elena and Katherine here, and watch some amusing “speculation” about werewolf effects from Paul Wesley and Matt Davis below, with more reliable insight from Michael Trevino:

By the way, the TCAs are in full-swing in L.A., and the CW’s session is getting ready to begin as you read this. Thanks to @stayingin for giving us all a glimpse of our very first new Season 2 promo shot. It’s not the best quality, but it is shiny new promo of Paul, Nina, and Ian!

MTV’s Hollywood Crush has another video interview with Ian Somerhalder, in which he talks about what it’s like playing the part of an ‘evil’ character. We’re pleased to note that the reasons he seems to enjoy the role do bear some similarities to why fans love Damon Salvatore in the books so much – it certainly bodes well for bringing the character to life.

If you live in the UK, Canada and a few other places you may not be able to view the video. We’ll update if we find a version everyone can watch. In the meantime, there are quotes from the interview in the Hollywood Crush article.

DamonSabrina Rojas Weiss over at MTV’s Hollywood Crush blog has reviewed the pilot for the Vampire Diaries TV series. As far as we’re aware, none of the previous pilot reviewers have much – if any – knowledge of the books. That makes this an especially interesting review, as Sabrina is someone who has previously read the books and can comment on it from a book fan’s perspective.

Her article seems to be a positive one, and Sabrina does note that while there are changes that are jarring for book readers, they do work and make sense in the context of the story for the show. We also appreciate the shout-out to Mrs. Flowers, who (along with her ancient washing machine) is sadly missing from the TV series. A shame, because we think that Betty White would be excellent in the role. ;)

You can read the entire review on the Hollywood Crush blog (be warned, there are spoilers), and be sure to check out and comment on Sabrina’s earlier review of the Vampire Diaries books.

The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening/The StruggleMTV News blogger/editor Sabrina Weiss dropped us a line about a weekly feature kick-started today on MTV’s brand new (and very, very, very PINK) Hollywood Crush blog: The Book Report, “dedicated to the many, many young adult novels that are equally worthy of our obsession.” (“Equally worthy” to Twilight, that is.) L.J. Smith’s The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening is the first read up for discussion: “your thoughts about it, how it compares to “Twilight,” and what you think the TV show will be like.” Check out the post here.
