The Vampire Diaries TV SeriesThe CW has been showcasing these cool cast interview videos on cwtv.com for a few weeks now, in which each actor analyzes their character and speculates what might be in store for them in the second season of Vampire Diaries. (We were waiting to blog ‘em ’til they showed up on YouTube, but that obviously isn’t going to happen any time soon.) The interviews happened during the filming of Founder’s Day, which makes them a treat considering we’re not sure the actors knew what was coming.

Still no Truth Behind Alaric video or (dare we hope?) one for Katherine, but U.S. viewers can check those posted so far over at the CW.

Here’s a direct link to each “The Truth Behind…” video on CWtv.com:

The Vampire Diaries TV SeriesSorry to be the bearer of bad news, folks, but it looks like Paul Wesley has had to cancel his previously scheduled appearance at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, which happens this weekend. If you’re still heading to the Con, Rob Pralgo (the late Mayor Lockwood) will be in attendance, and it looks like Vampire Diaries will have a few panels throughout the weekend (thanks, @mrsoshimbo). You can download an event program from the official Dragon*Con website.

We know this made a lot of Bloodlines: Insurgence ticket holders on Twitter nervous this morning, but as far as know and can tell, the Sept. 10-12 con in London is still a go for Paul, Ian Somerhalder, and Michael Trevino. The minute we hear anything different, we will absolutely let you know.

Zap2It’s Carina MacKenzie has some more Paul Wesley interview goodness for us all about Stefan’s head space, feelings for Elena, and just what he thinks about that kiss Damon shared with who he thought was Elena at the end of Founder’s Day. Suffice to say, he’s not going to be a very happy bunny when The Return hits our screens on September 9.

In Ian Somerhalder news, Damon Salvatore has made it to the #3 spot on Peter Travers’ best vampires list over on the Rolling Stone website. It’s good to see people recognising Damon as a vampire bringing bite back to the species in Hollywood.

TV Fanatic has an interview up with Steven R. McQueen, where he talks about (as much as he can) Jeremy and what’s in store for him in season two of the Vampire Diaries.

What can you tell us about Jeremy this season?
Obviously I can’t give away everything, when it comes to if he turns into a vampire or not. I can say this: Jeremy has been pushed around quite a bit. He’s lost his parents, lost his first love, and all of the sudden there’s this new girl that he relates to because she’s an outsider as well, so they connect on that level. When he loses her, she’s the last person, and he lets himself go emotionally. He’s a little cold to the world now. Instead of being pushed around and wearing his heart on his sleeve; he’s about to push back a little bit.

And more news on the Steven front. Madeleine Carroll had a chat with Steven on a flight from LAX recently, and shared her experience over on Gather.com. He also dropped in to chat with DaveFM about his new movie, Piranha 3D (which I just typoed several times and nearly just called it ‘Fish-With-Teeth 3D’). You can watch the video below.

During her visit to the Vampire Diaries set over the Summer, Zap2It’s Carina MacKenzie got the chance to interview the cast. An excerpt of her interview with Paul Wesley has been posted up on Zap2It, so head on over there to watch a video and find out what Paul has to say about Katherine and Team Stefan.

After spending Season 1 watching the Team Stefan vs. Team Damon Twitter wars, I had to ask Wesley to weigh in on the eternal question. I put him on the spot and asked him for his best pitch – and I have to say, he melted my Team Matt heart.

“I think, personally, that once Damon gets what he wants, he throws it out the door,” Wesley says. “And I think Stefan is genuinely in love with Elena. Not to get sappy, but I think that counts for something.”

Carina has also posted an article all about those burning questions we want to have answered in season two, and invites you all to tell her in the comments anything important that may be missing from the list.

There’s a photoshoot and short interview with the lovely Candice Accola in this month’s Savvy Magazine. You can read the entire issue for free, or click on the images below for access to larger versions in our gallery. Many thanks to I Heart Vampire Diaries for the heads up!
