Check out these season 3 promotional shots of Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder and Joseph Morgan! The quartet is looking appropriately grave, except for Nina who has a bit of the minx going on – we approve! Thanks to Secret Circle site Crowhaven Road for the pics.
Is it Thursday yet? We’re all still in shock from The End Of The Affair, but the clock is ticking and Disturbing Behavior (EP304) will be here before we know it. Take a look at an intriguing meeting between Stefan and Katherine below, and head over to KSite to see the rest.
UPDATE: Have added HQ stills, courtesy of Vampire Diaries Web!
If you love Klaus and Stefan, today is your lucky day! Our latest video interviews of the deadly duo come from E!Online. Joseph Morgan talks about all things Klaus, including his hopes that our resident werepire will get a romantic interest this season. Paul Wesley is definitely having fun with Ripper Stefan, and he’s really enjoying this chance to look back at Stefan’s earlier life before Mystic Falls.
The Insider has a great interview with Paul Wesley about Ripper Stefan and Season 3, WATCH IT HERE AT THE INSIDER.
We’ve also got another video from Zap2it, who talked with Joseph Morgan about tonight’s episode, carting around boxes of family members and whether or not Klaus has a taste for romance as well as mayhem.
TV Line has more tidbits from yesterday’s The End of the Affair screening/Julie Plec Q&A, supplemented by hints from Joseph Morgan about what to expect for Klaus in tonight’s episode and the foreseeable future:
Joseph Morgan explains that while “we’re going to see a more human, childlike aspect” of his character in “The End of the Affair,” it’s not a permanent fixture. “We’re peeling away a few of the layers and starting to see his humanity and morality and where that need to be destructive came from. But ultimately the hope is that he’ll stay bad.”
TV Guide‘s Robyn Ross has a new video series called The Vampire Diaries Bite and in this week installment she’s discussing the Originals (featuring an audio clip from Paul Wesley!).
Zap2it sat down with Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley to ask some questions about the much talked third episode of season 3, The End Of The Affair. Take a look at what the actors had to say about the show’s visit to the roaring twenties.
Just a few more hours, TVD fans! Here’s a little something to tide you over for the next few hours. The Insider has an exclusive webclip for tonight’s episode, check it out on their webpage! Looks like we really are going to need our hiking boots to keep up with Klaus and Stefan tonight.
Sorry for the delay, everyone! I wasn’t able to listen, live tweet and take photos all at the same time, but fortunately there were some great people in the crowd willing to share pictures with all of you. Many of them we retweeted during the show, but we’ve just gotten some really great ones in, thanks to lovely Anna from Australia. The wonderful Chealsea Howell also has pictures from the event in her facebook. Thanks, Anna & Chelsea!
I had my hands full this weekend putting together the event review, but for more detailed coverage, pics, and other goodies have a look over at Vampire Diaries Online and TV After Dark. Bringing you total package coverage of this convention was really a group effort in a lot of ways, let’s hear it for Team TVD!
Jean Bentley with AOL TV braved an interview with Paul Wesley to discuss that most dangerous of creatures: Ripper Stefan! From the sound of things, the actor is really enjoying his bloody new role:
Cast and crew on ‘The Vampire Diaries’ are notoriously tight-lipped, and rightfully so, since each episode of the series contains more twists than a water slide at Six Flags. But through the cagey responses and deflecting jokes during our interview, Wesley was so certain about one answer that he didn’t even let us finish the question. When asked if he preferred playing Good Stefan or Ripper Stefan, we couldn’t even complete the thought before he responded.
“Ripper Stefan. Huh? What was the question? Yeah. Look, when it’s raining for a really long time, I want sunshine — actually, I always want sunshine. Let me give you a different analogy. When it’s really hot, sometimes I would like some snow. But if I’m in a blizzard, I would like some sun. Right now I’m really enjoying Ripper Stefan.”
Paul wasn’t the only one who had thoughts to share about Ripper Stefan and what he’ll mean for the show. Nina Dobrev also had some things to say about how Elena is handling the change.
“She shifts into a gear where she’s playing investigator as well, tracking clues and trying to find out where he is and what he’s been doing so that she can save him,” star Nina Dobrev told AOL TV during a break in filming. “She thinks that he’s in trouble, that he needs to be saved, so she’s trying to save him.”
Disclaimer: I do not work for Creation Entertainment. Vampire-Diaries.net has no prior experience or existing relationship with the company. I paid full retail price for every ticket and piece of merchandise I bought. I am not being paid or compensated in any way for anything written in this blog. This was my first TV show or movie convention and my first time meeting any of the cast.
Before we get started, understand that this is a review, not a recap. I went to TVD Nashville to review the convention itself – how it was organized, what the staff was like, whether or not the fans had fun, and why. If you’re looking for more general coverage, head over to Vampire Diaries Online, they’ve got great stuff from both days already up.
If you’re wondering whether or not to attend TVD Chicago (or any other Creation Convention, really), then this is the post for you.
For anyone in a hurry who needs a shorter version, here it is: Go buy your tickets for the Chicago event! I’m serious. Go buy them right now. Creation Entertainment puts on a great con. Some of you who saw me looking like roadkill on Sunday may have your doubts, but the fact that this event reduced me to staggering incoherence is nothing but a credit to them, the cast, and the lovely, fun people who attended. It was an awesome weekend. I had no bad experiences and there are only a few things I think could use improvement. Overall, I was very impressed with the company and the event.
What, now you want details? I’ve got them.
