Thanks to @tvdfansonline for the heads up that Mr. Paul Wesley is on the Live with Regis & Kelly schedule for Monday, September 12th. It’s been a little while since we’ve had a Vampire Diaries cast member on the talk show circuit, but now that Season 3 is around the corner (Thursday, September 15th – remember? Two weeks!) we expect we’ll be seeing our cast pop up here and there.

In preparation for the season three premiere, Entertainment Weekly has new promotional shots of Vampire Diaries stars Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, and Paul Wesley, all dressed up. And there are some intriguing quotes from Paul, too:
“There’s gonna be a lot of killing. As far as Stefan is concerned, he can never go back to his old life. Imagine Stefan sitting in high school. Apart from the fact that I just look weird sitting in high school,” he laughs, “he’s murdered all these people. What do you think, we’re just gonna go hang out now? As far as he’s concerned, he’s moved on. He’s past it all.”

Looks like we have some changes to the #TVDNashville convention line up. Zach Roerig will be appearing at the convention on Sunday, September 18th along with Paul Wesley. Looks like The Mystic Grill will just have to get along without Matt Donovan for a day or two!
Sadly, Creation has also announced that Ian Somerhalder will not be attending the Nashville event as scheduled. From their announcement:
August 22, 2011: We have been advised that Ian Somerhalder has been invited to present at The Emmy Awards in Los Angeles during our convention day. Therefore he is unable to attend our convention this year. We hope to welcome Ian at a future date and understand this cancellation.
With these two changes the updated guest list for the Nashville event is as follows: Paul Wesley, Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Zach Roerig Michael Trevino and David Anders. E!Online has the exclusive first look at the very first Vampire Diaries Season 3 promo shot of Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, and Paul Wesley.
For a show that thrives on showcasing the dark sides of their characters (Klaus be crazy), seeing the three stars looking so angelic is a bit of a change for us.

Rolling Stone has posted photos and a behind the scenes video from their upcoming feature with Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and Ian Somerhalder.
The shoot, which involves the actors leaping off of a platform on to a mattress, may have left Somerhalder “a little bruised,” but Dobrev is into it. “There’s something sort of deadpan and expressionless about it,” she says. “And at the same time, we all feel like rock stars.”

So, a sociopath, a werewolf and a freaking nut-bag walk into a bar…
…and everyone else runs out screaming!
I kid, I kid. I don’t actually know what will happen, but if David Gallagher looked at me like that, I’d probably head for the hills. UPDATE: Added full still.
We’ve heard a few things this week about what Klaus & Stefan have been up to (side note: best Paul Wesley quote ever!) and now TV Line has an awesome picture of Klaus, Stefan and newcomer werewolf Ray Sutton (played by Gallagher), who’ll be appearing in the first two episodes of season 3. Go look at the picture and then come back and raise your hand if you think this scene ends with a bar fight.
