Vampire Diaries may not have any Emmy nominations, but that doesn’t mean our own Nina Dobrev can’t swing by and class up the joint. (And, as of 6:20pm Pacific, Nina Dobrev is the #3 Trending Topic on Twitter – insane!) Nina walked the red carpet at the 62nd Emmy Awards in Los Angeles and participated in Jimmy Fallon’s opening song and dance number. TV Guide Magazine’s William Keck has a brief chat with Taylor Kinney about his role as Mason Lockwood, Tyler’s uncle, on Vampire Diaries. They also have the first official promo shot of this much-anticipated new character. Kinney discusses the effect Mason’s return will have on the various residents of Mystic Falls, particularly Tyler and a certain pair of vampire brothers, special effects, and more.

“Mason has learned to harness his rage and is going to serve as a mentor to Tyler,” says Taylor. “I’ve come to teach Tyler that there are choices he can make to control his destiny as a human…or otherwise.”

During her visit to the Vampire Diaries set over the Summer, Zap2It’s Carina MacKenzie got the chance to interview the cast. An excerpt of her interview with Paul Wesley has been posted up on Zap2It, so head on over there to watch a video and find out what Paul has to say about Katherine and Team Stefan.

After spending Season 1 watching the Team Stefan vs. Team Damon Twitter wars, I had to ask Wesley to weigh in on the eternal question. I put him on the spot and asked him for his best pitch – and I have to say, he melted my Team Matt heart.

“I think, personally, that once Damon gets what he wants, he throws it out the door,” Wesley says. “And I think Stefan is genuinely in love with Elena. Not to get sappy, but I think that counts for something.”

Carina has also posted an article all about those burning questions we want to have answered in season two, and invites you all to tell her in the comments anything important that may be missing from the list.
