Anyone who wasn’t at Comic Con this year has been dying to see some decent footage from season two of the Vampire Diaries, and now the CW has delivered. People.com has revealed this rather snazzy (and spoilery!), Katherine-centric promo for the season premiere, airing September 9. 21 days 6 hours to go. We can make it. ;)

We see trouble on the way… Late last night/early this morning, Michael Trevino posted an eerie shot of the woods, along with what we’re pretty sure is confirmation that Season 2′s third episode is titled Bad Moon Rising. He definitely confirmed the ep’s director, Patrick Norris, who has worked on Friday Night Lights, Chuck, and Gossip Girl, amongst many other shows.

As far as we can tell, this new Season 2 footage was included in the CW’s preview program of its upcoming show roster. It’s a rollercoaster ride of a 20 seconds, so hang on tight. Thanks to The Vampire Diaries: Blood Falls.

The CW congratulates The Vampires Diaries for its seven Teen Choice Awards with a fun little promo. You’ll notice there are brief snippets of scenes from the upcoming season throughout the beginning.

Yahoo!TV’s has posted yet another exclusive clip from The Vampire Diaries: The Complete First Season DVD and this time the cast and producers discuss what sets the show apart as a television drama. Love this quote from Julie:

We always said in the pilot it’s a girl who feels dead inside and a boy who is dead inside and how they bring each other back to life.
