There’s a great season two and Tyler-centric interview with Michael Trevino over at TV Fanatic, touching on the subject of playing the supernatural, wolves, developing the character of Tyler, his relationship with Mason Lockwood, and what we can expect for Tyler in upcoming episodes.
What else can we look forward to this season?
We’re filming episode three right now, and I can tell you that there is a lot of Lockwood going around. We’re seeing the day-to-day of Tyler, and a lot of scenes take place in my house now. That didn’t happen in season one. I don’t think we got to know Tyler as whole, just an angry, bully of a kid in season one. Now, we’ll be able to see Tyler when he’s calm and not trying to pick a fight with somebody. Episode three is a big episode. There’s something really important that Tyler realizes and there’s a big revelation for Tyler.
And as if a shiny season 2 trailer wasn’t enough for today, KSiteTV posted a couple of Vampire Diaries images – a decent quality version of that new promo with Elena holding hands with Stefan and Damon, and another still from The Return. Anyone who wasn’t at Comic Con this year has been dying to see some decent footage from season two of the Vampire Diaries, and now the CW has delivered. People.com has revealed this rather snazzy (and spoilery!), Katherine-centric promo for the season premiere, airing September 9. 21 days 6 hours to go. We can make it. ;)

We see trouble on the way… Late last night/early this morning, Michael Trevino posted an eerie shot of the woods, along with what we’re pretty sure is confirmation that Season 2′s third episode is titled Bad Moon Rising. He definitely confirmed the ep’s director, Patrick Norris, who has worked on Friday Night Lights, Chuck, and Gossip Girl, amongst many other shows.
As far as we can tell, this new Season 2 footage was included in the CW’s preview program of its upcoming show roster. It’s a rollercoaster ride of a 20 seconds, so hang on tight. Thanks to The Vampire Diaries: Blood Falls.

The CW congratulates The Vampires Diaries for its seven Teen Choice Awards with a fun little promo. You’ll notice there are brief snippets of scenes from the upcoming season throughout the beginning.

Yahoo!TV’s has posted yet another exclusive clip from The Vampire Diaries: The Complete First Season DVD and this time the cast and producers discuss what sets the show apart as a television drama. Love this quote from Julie:
We always said in the pilot it’s a girl who feels dead inside and a boy who is dead inside and how they bring each other back to life.

It’s been a few months now, and so much happened last season that you may have forgotten some of the events that took place. Okay, maybe not. We know you’ve been watching episodes on DVR over and over again and know season one back to front by now. But just in case you haven’t been (hey, we know technology fails, files are tragically lost or deleted by insensitive family members and housemates), the CW has provided a nifty refresh trailer for the first season of the Vampire Diaries. No new material, but there’s some nifty Katherine sections at the end that should get you excited for her return in September.
(And no, no official release of the Comic Con teaser yet. We’re working up some really good sulking and pouting over here.)
