The UK cover for the second volume of The Hunters, Moonsong, has now been revealed on Amazon.co.uk (click on the thumbnail for a larger version). White roses are symbols of innocence and purity, but also used as arrangements for rememberance. What do you guys think? Should we read anything into this, or is it just that white roses make the blood look more vivid?
Our book cover count for The Hunters is increasing, but we’d love to see other covers from around the world when they become available. If the books are being released in your country, why not let us know so we can share the covers and publication dates?
Amazon is also now listing the short synopses for both books. We’ve spoiler-blocked Moonsong as Phantom hasn’t been published yet. Mouseover or highlight the text to read it.
Phantom:
Since meeting vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon Salvatore, Elena Gilbert has been to hell and back. Now that she and her friends have saved their hometown from a demonic spirit, everything can finally go back to normal.
But Elena should know better than anyone that Fell’s Church will never be normal. In PHANTOM, a dangerous new other-worldly threat sets its sights on Elena. And this time she can only count on one Salvatore brother to protect her.
Moonsong:
Life is better than ever, Elena and her friends can’t wait to attend Dalcrest College. But when students start to disappear from campus, suddenly every new acquaintance is a potential enemy.
Then Elena uncovers a long-hidden secret, one that shocks her to the core, she realises that darkness has followed her from Fell’s Church. But will it be Stefan or Damon who catches her when she falls?
Phantom is due to be released on October 25th in the US and November 3rd in the UK. Moonsong is due to be released on March 13th in the USA and March 1st in the UK.

There have been murmurings for a little while now about a fourth book in the Stefan’s Diaries series, and we’re pleased to confirm that Stefan’s Diaries #4: The Ripper is now officially listed in the Harper Collins catalogue – hopefully they’ll get a cover up soon. The book is due for release on 8th November, 2011, and available to pre-order on Amazon in the USA and in the UK. Mouseover or highlight below to read the summary.
Twenty years have passed since Stefan Salvatore last saw his brother, Damon. Now, living in a remote town in England, far away from the haunting memories of Mystic Falls, Stefan is finally able to start over. But when news from London reaches Stefan of a brutal killer on the loose, who goes by Jack the Ripper, Stefan suspects that the murders are the work of a vampire…his brother.
Full of dark shadows and surprising twists, the fourth book in the Stefan’s Diaries series raises the stakes for the Salvatore brothers as they face new loves, old treacheries, and unimaginable threats. Fans of the Vampire Diaries series and the hit television show won’t be able to put the latest Salvatore adventure down.

Have we mentioned lately how much we love Lorraine over at the L.J. Smith Cover Resource? She’s been working her cover voodoo and has come up trumps with all kinds of Vampire Diaries book cover goodies for us.
First up, to your left you will see the UK cover for The Return: Midnight (click on the image to view a larger version). This is the first cover we’ve seen anywhere for Midnight, and I’ve got to admit to a little bit of pride that the UK got in there first. While we may have a cover, we’re still seeing a range of dates for the publication date, from July of this year to November next year. As soon as we have something concrete, we’ll get it up on the website for you.
We’ve also got some more covers for other books in the series – from reprints to brand new publications in the UK, France, Germany and Japan. Read on to view all the new covers…

The CW have released a short series promo to let us know that the Vampire Diaries has “TV’s most smoldering cast”. We think they may be on to something there. ;)
ITV2 also have a promo up for episodes 12 to 14 in the UK, in which the cast is indeed looking smoldering (thanks, Denise!):
And finally, Denis has been in touch to let us know that The Return: Nightfall is set for publication in Bulgaria at some point in May. You can see the cover (which is a combination of the Bulgarian covers for The Struggle and The Fury) below.

Thanks to the LJS Cover Resource (all hail Lorraine!), we’ve got some Vampire Diaries covers to share with you.
First up, the reprints of the original series in Denmark with some very striking covers. Going with a white/light theme really makes these stand out, and the artsy poses of Elena really add to the wow factor. And the subtle background of veins? Awesome. The Awakening also has an interesting title change, which translates to ‘Brothers of Darkness’ (thanks, Katrine!). Appropriate, no? Danish fans can look forward to buying these from Tellerup over the Summer. The Awakening and The Struggle will be published on May 10th, The Fury on June 10th, and Dark Reunion on July 16th.

The Russian cover for Dark Reunion (pictured left) has been released in its usual unrelated glory, though we haven’t got a date yet for when it will be published. Keep an eye on Ozon.ru. We also have the cover for the Italian version of Shadow Souls (pictured right), which should already be available to buy in bookstores.
