The TV Chick caught up with Candice Accola to discuss the final episodes of Season 2, Caroline’s relationships with Matt, Tyler, and Sheriff Forbes, why she doesn’t think she’ll be singing as Caroline again, a cause close to her heart, and of course those impending death rumors.
And there’s been a rumor going around that there are going to be three deaths by finale time. Are you allowed to say anything about that?
Just when you think that you’ve hit the peak point of the season finale, there’s a whole other chamber of storytelling right behind it. So what’s promised by the show creators from day one, is that characters are going to die. And in the season finale of season two, something goes down.

Make sure to pick up the May issue of InStyle magazine – Mr. Paul Wesley is featured as this month’s Man of Style and the accompanying photoshoot is very nice indeed. You can check out the spread at Paul Wesley Web (but be sure to buy a copy of the magazine!) and read what Paul’s female co-stars (Kaley Cuoco, Elisha Cuthbert, Nina Dobrev) have to say about working with him. He also talks about The Hair. Of course.

Mr. Ian Somerhalder was #2 on MTV’s 10 on Top today and Candice Accola also popped up in his segment. Topics covered: Leather pants, go-go dancing, Jim Morrison, Klaus and Ian’s advice for Joseph Morgan on playing a vampire – “Just watch me, man. He’ll get a kick out of that.” Smartphone users, you can watch here.
Speaking of the lovely miz Accola, the equally lovely Maddie of Candice Accola Web asked if we could give you all a heads up on her birthday project for Candice: a Lyme disease awareness video featuring fans. As many of you know, raising Lyme disease awareness is a cause close to Candice’s heart. If you don’t want to participate in the video project, you can still leave Candice a birthday message. And follow Candice Accola Web on Twitter: @CAccolaWeb.

Candice Accola swung by the TV Guide Magazine offices for Cubicle Confessions, during which she discusses being a personal assistant to Dave Navarro, touring with Miley Cyrus, singing on The Vampire Diaries, the cast member she’d like to see sing on the show (joke!), the goriest thing she’s seen on set, what she’d like to see happen to Caroline, her favorite TV shows, and zombies vs. vampires (“oops, bad sushi” – ha!).
And Zap2It‘s Carina MacKenzie sat down with Candice for an on-set video interview last week that touches on many aspects of Caroline’s roller coaster ride through Season 2, including her transformation into a vampire, her rocky love life, and whether she’ll be able to forgive Tyler when he returns to Mystic Falls.
When Tyler returns, will Caroline be able to forgive him? Accola tells us that while Caroline isn’t going to be anyone’s doormat, she’d be hypocritical not to cut Tyler a break.
“What I love about Caroline’s arc this season is that she’s just gained so much perspective, which in turn has made her grow up so much,” Accola says. “Whereas before, throughout Season 1, I feel like Caroline would hold a grudge, [now she knows] she’s not perfect either. On her first night as a vampire she took advantage of a nurse and killed an innocent man. She’s killed and she’s asked to be forgiven, so she has it in her.”

Issue 23 of Bello Mag, featuring our very own Michael Trevino on the cover, is now available on iTunes! Took a screencap of the preview screen below so you could get a peek at the photo spread (tuxedo! glasses!), but you can download the issue for $1.99 (includes an exclusive “making of” video). Slick stuff.

Paul Wesley has been on Twitter for over 24 hours now and we thought this was awfully sweet:

“A long way” means almost 70,000 followers at the moment, like tribbles! Also amusing in TwitterLand today were these two tweets from Joseph Morgan: Click and watch the link and then read this. We love a beautifully executed shout-out to the books and this one is killer (heh).
Following up our reminder earlier this morning that Candice Accola, Michael Trevino, and Julie Plec will be representing Vampire Diaries at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo this weekend, ShowPatrol has a kick-ass giveaway leading up to Saturday:
If you’re planning to go but have yet to buy tickets, here’s your chance to get in free–and be sure to meet the “TVD” folks face-to-face at their signing. I have two prize packs, each containing a pair of passes to the autograph signing session and a pair of VIP passes to C2E2, which means my two winners can take one friend each. The VIP passes get you tons of cool stuff…
