Thanks to Mr. Michael Trevino for the heads up that he will be a guest on KROQ-FM’s Loveline with Mike and Dr. Drew this Thursday, February 10th, 10pm-Midnight PST. If you’re not in Los Angeles, you can find out if the show airs on a local (to you) station. OR you can stream the show live off KROQ.com. Now – a little disclaimer: If you’re not familiar with Loveline, it’s a call-in show that centers around drug addiction problems, relationships, and sexuality. It’s candid stuff. In other words, you have been officially informed. (We’ve been emailed by your moms before and we don’t particularly like it, okay? It’s awkward.)
And thanks to Carina MacKenzie for the advance notice that Katerina Graham will be a guest on KTLA Morning News this Friday, February 11th at 7:45am PST. If you’re not in Los Angeles, no worries – you can watch the interview live on KTLA.com.

First up, thanks to the Salvatore Council Podcast (you should listen!) for the heads up on Steven R. McQueen’s interview with Galway Bay FM’s Alan Murphy. He talks about choosing Vampire Diaries over Melrose Place (smart choice!), Jeremy’s journey throughout the series, how the cast gets along, pranks on the Vampire Diaries set, how passionate vampire genre fans are, and more.
Thanks to the folks at the Salvatore Bros. Tumblr for pointing out these scans of Nina Dobrev in the January 2011 issue of InStyle magazine. We’re not sure where the scans originally popped up, only that they’re watermarked with (what looks to be) Babinskiscan, so much thanks to them!

TV Guide‘s Robyn Ross has a brief summation of what fans of the Vampire Diaries book series can expect to see and not see as the TV series progresses, courtesy of her set visit and chat with Julie Plec:
“The power of a journal is when you’re lost and alone and feel like you have no one to talk to,” she says. “What we have fun with is how to integrate the concept of journals — from Alaric typing in his computer or the old John Gilbert journals that set off the mythology of the vampire device. And we still haven’t laid our hands on a Lockwood journal.”
FanBolt has posted a summary of their Vampire Diaries set visit last week along with a few cast photos and soundbites from Steven R. McQueen, Katerina Graham, Candice Accola, Matt Davis, Sara Canning, Ian Somerhalder, and Julie Plec.
And now a round-up of end-of-year Vampire Diaries nods:
IGN gives Vampire Diaries “Best Twist” in their Best of 2010 poll, calling the final moment of Founder’s Day, “shocking, fun, gory and cool all at once, and a great cliffhanger to leave the show on.”
BuddyTV is feeling the Vampire Diaries love in their Love Is All Around: Best TV Relationships of 2010, bestowing our show with “Best Relationship Involving Too Many People: Stefan and Elena and Damon and Katherine in The Vampire Diaries.” And the ladies of Vampire Diaries made a strong showing in their TV’s 100 Sexiest Women of 2010 list: Katerina Graham comes in at #83, Nina Dobrev at #31, and Candice Accola at #19.
E!Online wants to know readers’ pick for Best TV Show of 2010. Round 1 is up for voting – The Office or…Vampire Diaries? VOTE!

Marcos Siega – Vampire Diaries’ Season 1 supervising producer, fresh off a two-episode directing stint for the show – returns to The VRO to talk TVD and more this Friday, December 3rd, 9pm EST. Jessica and Amber are taking questions for Marcos over on The VRO forum, so chime in with your questions! (Coincidence that Marcos returned to direct Tyler’s Big Episode, aka By the Light of the Moon? Kinda funny considering he talks about the difficulties of doing werewolves well in the Vampire Diaries Season 1 DVD special features. We can’t wait to see the final result.)

TV Guide has their own interview with Katerina Graham and this time she’s giving a preview of tomorrow night’s episode, Brave New World. She’s also candid about Bonnie’s relationships with other characters on The Vampire Diaries.
TVGuide.com: Will Bonnie and Elena ever be as close as they once were?
Graham: I don’t think the relationship with Bonnie and Elena will ever go back to the way it was. I think they can be friends and they can still be close, [but] it’s different. We all have those friends we have serious problems with, but you know they would die for you.

With apologies to Sara Canning, her Artists On Demand radio interview slipped completely past us; we found out about it just as she got on the phone. If you also missed it, you can check out the entire interview over at BlogTalkRadio.com.
And Interview has a chat with Ian Somerhalder:
INTERVIEW: I can imagine you guys have some pretty intense fans. What is that like for you interacting with them?
SOMERHALDER: I got accosted by a six-foot-one Wonder Woman [at Comic Con]. I was sort of pushed against a wall, so that was pretty cool. The fans are awesome. I think our panel went from last year being 1,000 people to at least 5,000, which was really really cool.

Thanks to I Heart Vampire Diaries and Snowvamp for the heads up this: Alan Murphy of Ireland’s Galway Bay FM radio interviewed Michael Trevino during filming of episode 203, and Michael chats about Lockwoods, location, and ladies. (Someone has a crush on Kate Beckinsale – is this surprising, what with her history of crushing on werewolves n’ all?) He also talks about his upcoming film, The Factory, which stars John Cusack. Take a listen to all 10 minutes below!
