These aren’t exactly the Ghosts of Christmas Past that are confronting the people of Mystic Falls in Ghost World, but, you know, close enough. (We’ll admit that we wish we could have Lexi show up every episode to discipline Stefan when he gets out of line.) Meanwhile, the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come would like to take a break from his usual platform of doom and gloom to remind you that new episodes of The Vampire Diaries are returning in just THREE WEEKS, on January 5 at 8/7c. We’re almost there!

But no, really, The End of the Affair has it all: one of my favorite flashbacks, an intense and moving present-day Caroline storyline, the debut of Rebekah, F. Scott Fitzgerald references . . . And you get to relive it all tonight on the CW!

Tonight the CW continues its refresher course with an encore presentation of The Hybrid (EP302). So grab your flashlight – time to head back into the woods and find some werewolves! Or vampires hunting werewolves. Or girls hunting vampires hunting werewolves. Whatever you’re looking for, it’s probably in those woods.

Happy Thanksgiving to our U.S.-based readers! This year, we’re thankful for this awesome show that makes us laugh and cry and gasp every week, the cast and crew and writers that give it their all making it, and for the community it has created. We don’t have a new episode to give thanks for tonight, unfortunately, but we do have the chance to celebrate a different holiday in Mystic Falls with the CW’s encore airing of the Season 3 premiere, The Birthday. We disagree, Mason. Salvatores wielding sharp objects (see Stefan and stakes, Damon with a fire poker) and a good-looking dude tied up is kinda sexy. Sure, your torture was tragic, and possibly not all that necessary, but we thank you for being in chains or ropes for most of your stay in Mystic Falls. Fan service at its finest. We salute you, Mason Lockwood. That being said… Want to relive the most uncomfortable fireside chat in Vampire Diaries history? (Amazingly, there’s been a few!) And then choke up all over again at Paul Wesley’s Stefan Tears? (They get us every single time.) Tune in to the CW tonight at 8/7c to see how Plan B rolls out. Only 77 days left until Vampire Diaries Season 3!

Last week, we posted our Vampire Diaries Mid-Season Poll and guess which episode is miles ahead of the competition as the favorite Season 2 episode so far? Yup, that would be Masquerade (EP207) and you can catch an encore tonight at 8/7c on the CW. Our colorful cast of characters comes together with one goal: kill Kat. And it is a rockin’ good time, with twists and fake-outs galore, as well as one kick-ass fight scene between Stefan, Damon, and Katherine. And did we mention the suits? Oh, yes.
