February is right on the doorstep, but we’re not going to let the gloomiest month in existence get us down. After all, the Vampire Diaries returns on Thursday (late February, if you’re in the UK – keep the faith, UK fans!), and the CW are gifting us with sexy teasers like this one. Yum. More from the TCA Press Tour! Collider talked to Kevin Williamson about the season, as well as his new show, in this interview. On why the love triangle between Elena and the Salvatores works so well:
“It’s a great love story because everybody loves everybody. No matter how much they hate each other, everybody loves everybody. It’s a perfect three-way, if they would all just come together. If they could all get along, it would be a hot time.”
We . . . would not object. Kevin also discusses his feelings about killing characters and his new pilot, in which it sounds like many characters will be killed.

The CW has added two awesome new video promos that include clips from The Vampire Diaries. You’ll have to watch closely (and maybe repeat them a few times) because they move pretty fast. Think you guys can handle that? We know it’s a real hardship, but please, support the show. ;)

Paul Wesley has been confirmed as a guest for Toronto Comic Con, which will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on April 14-15, 2012. (Thanks to TheTelevixen.com for the tip!) Paul will be appearing on Saturday only. (He’s scheduled for Creation Entertainment’s TVD Chicago Convention on Sunday.) There’s no exact programming schedule yet, but if we get more information, we’ll let you know!

Tonight is Caroline’s birthday, and Candice Accola hints to Hollywood Life that it may not necessarily be the happiest of birthdays. In addition to her break-up with Tyler, seems a certain hybrid Original may soon come into play:
“Caroline and Klaus haven’t really had any interaction up to this point, but their paths will finally cross,” Candice tells HollywoodLife.com of Caroline’s big day. “He sired her boyfriend, and she’s pissed. But you can’t really get pissed at Klaus because he’s got the power to kill anyone and everyone.” (Gulp!)
