The CW knows that we’re all gasping through the last few weeks of hiatus, and they’ve taken pity on us today. In this video, Zach Roerig talks about where things left off for Matt Donovan in Season 3, and how he feels about his character’s continuing humanity in a town where most of the kids are anything (and everything!) but human.

Paul Wesley Featured on Mr Porter

The long summer hiatus has begun but this feature on Paul Wesley from Mr Porter is a gorgeous distraction from counting down the hours until season 4 begins. Paul admits that Stefan’s taste is rubbing off on him a little, at least when it comes to boots. On the topic of acting, he is characteristically down to earth and open about his experiences, both good and bad.

“One year I had a really bad experience where I didn’t get a pilot that I really wanted and it psychologically damaged me. I had to retrain myself to have the confidence to go in and do what I do as an actor,” he continues. “I know there are always going to be ups and downs – I don’t care if you’re Johnny Depp or Ryan Gosling – you’re always aspiring.”

Two weeks into the summer hiatus – how you holding up? Yes, we went the lazy route and recycled the captioned photo from the first repeat of The Return. Things are busy behind the scenes but we have exciting stuff planned for this hiatus – guest posts and speculation galore! A whole new website layout! Hey, did we mention we’ll be at Comic Con in San Diego this year? – and we hope you’ll hang with us as we weather this long four months together.
