The Teen Choice Awards aired last night on FOX, and the Vampire Diaries did exceptionally well. For those of us who didn’t get to see the ceremony, we’ve got video of Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder accepting a surf board trophy for all the categories they won.

Tonight was a big night for The Vampire Diaries – the show and cast racked up a more-than-impressive seven surfboards at tonight’s Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles, including: TV: Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show, TV: Breakout Show, TV: Sci-Fi/Fantasy Actress and TV: Female Breakout Star for Nina Dobrev, TV: Sci-Fi/Fantasy Actorand TV: Male Breakout Star for Paul Wesley, and TV: Villain for Ian Somerhalder. A HUGE CONGRATS to the cast, crew, and to YOU GUYS for putting them up on that stage. Well done, fandom!

The Teen Choice Awards are underway as we speak (fingers crossed for the Vampire Diaries!), and you can catch the awards ceremony tomorrow night at at 8/7c on FOX. Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder put in an appearance on the red blue carpet (Paul Wesley and Katerina Graham were also there, but didn’t appear on the live stream), and if you’d like to see the whole event you can watch it over on Ustream. More good news for UK fans! Ian Somerhalder has been added to the guest line-up for Insurgence: Bloodlines, along with Paul Wesley and Michael Trevino. The con will be held at the Thistle Hotel in London Heathrow on the 10th – 12th September 2010. For more information on booking tickets and hotel rooms, head on over to the Insurgence website.

The Teen Choice Awards (have you voted?) will be airing on Monday, August 9 at 8pm EST, and Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder will all be attending the event. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Fox and Ustream have partnered up to broadcast the red carpet live over the internet, where fans will be able to watch all the action as the stars arrive. This takes place on Sunday, August 8 at 3:30 – 5:00 pm PST, and you’ll be able to view it on the Teen Choice website, or over on Ustream.

It’s Monday, and that means a new round of polls are up in Television Without Pity’s Tubeys Awards. Vampire Diaries is once again up in several categories, including: Best Sidekick (Alaric Saltzman), Best Line of Dialogue (two Damon lines made it to the final round!), Best WTF Moment (end of Founder’s Day), and Best Unexpected Plot Twist (again, end of Founder’s Day). The Teen Choice Awards has released their second wave of categories and Vampire Diaries has racked up five more nominations: Breakout Show, Female Scene Stealer: Katerina Graham, Female Breakout Star: Nina Dobrev, Male Breakout Star: Paul Wesley, and Choice Male Hottie: Ian Somerhalder. Now remember – this is in addition to the show’s previous nominations for Best Fantasy/Sci-Fi Show, Best Actress in a TV Show: Nina Dobrev, Best Actor in a TV Show: Paul Wesley, and Best Villain: Ian Somerhalder.

That’s a lot of voting, so let’s rack up some surfboards, shall we? The awards will be taking place on FOX on Monday, August 9 at 8pm. If you want to see the Vampire Diaries win it these categories and are aged between 13 and 19, then you can vote for them on the Teen Choice Awards website.

And while you’re getting your click on, swing by Television Without Pity’s updated Tubeys polls and log a vote or two for your favorite show. Television Without Pity has updated its Tubeys polls, and Vampire Diaries has once again landed in several categories: Best Drama, Guiltiest TV Pleasure, Favorite Character (Damon Salvatore), Best Badass (Bonnie Bennett, Damon Salvatore and Stefan Salvatore), Best Cast, Favorite Actor (Ian Somerhalder), Best Guest Star (Malese Jow and Mia Kirshner), Best Season Finale, Best Musical Moment (Damon/Elena dance to Within Temptation’s “All I Need”), and Best Non-Romantic Relationship (Damon and Alaric). Oh, and the CW Network as whole is nominated in the Most Egregious Product Placement category for Bing (but wow, there are worse offenders in there). You have one week to get your votes in!
