The CW are already being cruel teasing us about the new Fall schedule (the one that we have to wait the entire summer for). There’s no new Vampire Diaries footage, but the CW have thrown in some footage of Nikita, which will be the new partner for the Vampire Diaries come September.

The CW really aren’t messing around with this finale. If “Founder’s Day” is even half as heart-pounding as this promo, Vampire Diaries fans are in for a real treat for the finale next week… or are they? Because don’t forget, we’ve been promised we’re going to be left with quite a few cliffhangers to keep us guessing over the agonising Summer hiatus as we wait for season two. The CW have released a short series promo to let us know that the Vampire Diaries has “TV’s most smoldering cast”. We think they may be on to something there. ;)
ITV2 also have a promo up for episodes 12 to 14 in the UK, in which the cast is indeed looking smoldering (thanks, Denise!):

Promo trailer for next week’s Vampire Diaries episode, “Let the Right One In”. This trailer is blowing us away: Stefan! Damon! Rain! Haunting music! Based on this trailer alone next week is set to completely brainsplode Vampire Diaries fans everywhere.
Update: Music is “Beyond Freedom” by Audiomachine. It’s by a company that provides music for trailers and promos and isn’t commercially available, though you can listen to it on YouTube.
