Stefan SalvatoreiF Magazine has an exclusive interview with Paul Wesley, in which he talks about vampires, Stefan, his feelings for Elena and Katherine, and the possibilities of seeing Stefan’s darker side.

iF: You think Stefan never had any feelings for Katherine?

WESLEY: Yeah. It’s kind of like being in a relationship, you think you’re completely in love, you’re infatuated, and then you meet another person and you go, “Oh my God, what was I thinking?” And it’s kind of like that but a little different because that person also gave me eternal life. His obsession with Katherine was something that was finally broken by this human. And not for a 160 years, no one could break this obsession. And that’s why he would die and breathe for Elena for the rest of his life. For the rest of her life, I should say.

Photographer Tyler Shields has a new set of photographs up featuring Ms. Nina Dobrev showing off how impressively flexible she is. Combine this with last week’s impressive self-defence with pencils, we expect to see her kicking more vampire backsides on the Vampire Diaries in the future. ;) Head on over to Tyler Shields’ site to see more awesome Nina photos.

The Vampire Diaries TV SeriesThanks to @CW_VampDiaries for the heads up on IESB’s exclusive interview with Steven R. McQueen (man, we feel a bit guilty for complaining about the lack of Steven press now…). It’s extensive and chock full o’great stuff, including his family’s acting legacy (and forging his own identity as an actor), and he reveals he also auditioned for the CW’s Melrose Place, the challenges of playing Jeremy and losing Kayla Ewell (Vicki), and his upcoming film, Piranha 3-D.

IESB: Was there any hesitation at all, in signing on to play a character that you could end up playing for a number of years?

Steven: Yeah, that was something that me and my agent talked about, but I thought it would be a good experience to learn and stick with a character for a long time, when previously I’ve only been a character for a short amount of time and then have to lose it. I wanted to learn to adapt a character over a long period of time, rather than keeping in the same place. Jeremy is constantly changing. In the beginning, he had all these drug issues and was rebelling against the world. All of a sudden, he had all of his pain and grief sucked out of him, and now he’s in a completely different mental place. It’s almost like I haven’t been playing the same character for a long amount of time, so I’ve enjoyed it.

And photographer Tyler Shields has just posted photos and video from his shoot with upcoming Vampire Diaries guest star Sean Faris. Um, potentially NSFW, and your monitor/screen might melt – just a warning. Here’s a taster photo – click it to view the rest on Tyler’s website. Let him know what you think as you fan yourself.

The CW has released official synopsis for “The Turning Point”. As usual, you can find it on the Episode Index, so head on over there for the juicy details. Lots of stuff happening in this episode, though when isn’t there when it comes to the Vampire Diaries?

Several cast members were out and about in costume for Halloween this year. Nina Dobrev (as Willy Wonka), Katerina Graham (a vampire), Sara Canning (Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas) and Kayla Ewell (a pirate) all attended Heidi Klum’s party, and you can find pictures of them over in the Vampire Diaries Show image gallery. Candice Accola was at photographer Tyler Shields’ Halloween party (as a Christmas present), and you can check out the photos over on Tyler Shields’ website. Thanks to Brigitte and @ag808 for the links.

Finally, a reminder to Bulgarian fans that book two of the Vampire Diaries, The Struggle, was released today. You can head over to the IBIS website for more information.

The Vampire Diaries TV Series“Rising Star” Paul Wesley talked to Access Hollywood about the success of the Vampire Diaries TV series, old friends getting in touch, and how viewers are responding to his portrayal of Stefan:

“I had to work so hard to get this role… that when I did finally get it and I got on set, it was sort of one of these things where I just felt so challenged that I almost never settled in and went ‘OK, I can enjoy this. I can relax,’” Wesley, who is currently filming the sixth “Vampire Diaries” episode, said. “He’s a very complex character… and I’m starting to really figure him out.

“People are really responding to Stefan and I’m just now starting to go, ‘This is nice, this feels good, this feels really like, nice to have people appreciate this character,’” he added.
