Bonnie Bennett does have parents, and tonight we finally get to meet the estranged Abby Bennett (not to be confused with our very own Abby, who was not Bonnie’s mother last time we checked. Though with this show, you never know). Alaric and Damon rekindle their bromance, whilst Stefan and Klaus squabble over those pesky coffins.

It’s an exciting day for Vampire Diaries book fans! The title, cover and US and UK publication dates have been revealed for the final book in The Hunters trilogy. Destiny Rising is due for release in the US on October 23rd 2012 and in the UK on November 1st 2012. Click on the image to the left for a bigger view of the cover – and if that’s not Bonnie McCullough, we’ll eat Ian Somerhalder’s hat.
If that wasn’t exciting enough for you, the second book in The Hunters, Moonsong, is out now in the UK and is due for release on March 13th in the US. In anticipation of this, HarperTeen have made the first 80 pages available for fans to read online. Many thanks to crowskisses for the heads up!

Hey, UK fans! Malese Jow has been confirmed via Twitter that she will appear at Insurgence 4, a convention taking place June 22-24 in Birmingham, UK. Ian Somerhalder, Daniel Gillies, Steven R. McQueen, and Paul Wesley have already been confirmed for the event. We’ll be keeping you updated as more guests are announced, so keep an eye out for more Insurgence news as it becomes available. Yes, we’re sorry to say that this is the last episode of the Vampire Diaries for 2011. The next new episode (The New Deal) will air in the USA on January 5th 2012. We’ll let you know when it’s back on UK screens as soon as ITV2 give out the date.
Tonight it’s all about the Homecoming dance at Mystic Falls High, everyone dressing up to the nines and the Originals causing all kinds of trouble. Oh, the band My Morning Jacket – highly recommended by Vee – make an appearance. As we understand it, all members survived the experience relatively unscathed.
