Candice Accola was a guest on KTLA Morning News this morning (video soon!) and here is a very brief Heart of Darkness clip of Caroline and Tyler that aired during her interview. Thanks, Mil2aCle!
Candice Accola and Joseph Morgan spoke with TVLine about what’s coming up for the complicated dynamics between their characters – especially given a certain upcoming reunion. (Warning: Spoilers through current episodes!) But is Caroline starting to soften toward Klaus? Nope.
“She’s not interested at all,” Accola maintains. “She can completely see that he’s not a good person and that he’s selfish and that he’s done nothing but come in and ruin the lives of the people that she’s loved.”
But it sounds like Klaus isn’t giving up any time soon:
Klaus will use the worldliness that comes with his Euro sound to try and sweep Caroline off her feet. Because from where he stands, “She deserves to see more of the world and to witness more of the culture and to make a bigger impact in the world, make bigger waves,” argues the Original’s portrayer, Joseph Morgan.
What’s got Damon so spooked in this picture? The season finale, that’s what! TV Guide has an exclusive first look at The Departed (EP322), and he’s not the only one looking scared. We’re not sure what’s got Damon and his companion so freaked out, but given Damon’s casual attitude towards torture and other scary things, we’re pretty sure it’s going to be something big.
TV Guide has posted a fun video called In the Studio with Joseph Morgan in which Joseph discusses fan art, his own art, music that gets him in the Klaus mood, and more. On how he gets into Klaus mode these days:
“The more you live with a character, the easier it is to get into it. The best way for me to get into it is if everyone’s having fun and everyone’s relaxed because then I feel like I’m really taking some risks, and I feel like everyone’s with me, you know, everyone’s kind of supporting me.”
Make sure you watch the video to see some Klaus-related fan art and more!

The CW has released the official synopsis for The Vampire Diaries Season 3 finale, The Departed (EP322), airing Thursday, May 10th. Yes, this is the last episode synopsis for TVD Season 3, can you believe it? Only four episodes left! Highlight for spoilers:
THE SECRET HERO — Determined to protect his sister, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) makes a decision that will change everything. In the harsh reality of the present situation, Elena (Nina Dobrev) longs for simpler times when her parents, Grayson (guest star Jason MacDonald) and Miranda (guest star Erin Beute), and Aunt Jenna (guest star Sara Canning) were still alive and her biggest concern was her relationship with Matt (Zach Roerig). Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) leave Mystic Falls together on a mission, but soon split up when Elena needs one of them. Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) are forced to make a life-changing decision. Finally, Bonnie (Kat Graham) makes a secret deal that has heartbreaking consequences.
The episode was directed by John Behring, with story by Brett Matthews & Elisabeth R. Finch and teleplay by Julie Plec.
Candice Accola recently spoke with Zap2it about what’s coming up for Caroline and friends – Warning: spoilers through current episodes! – as well some of her feelings about her character and fun tidbits about working on the show. And one way Candice and Caroline are similar:
“This is a way that I also connect with her very much as a character, is that she’s a fix-it person,” she says. “She will avoid as much emotional confrontation as she can by just fixing it, or throwing a party. That is something that I do. Any sort of thing, I just try to say ‘Oh, we’ll just have a dinner, and everything will be okay! If I buy a new pillow, it’ll make it all good! Yeah, everything’s perfect!’”
Make sure you watch through her comments about some of her co-stars’ accents!
Previously on The Vampire Diaries, Rebekah was getting her revenge on, Klaus was bothering Bonnie and Alaric was unwittingly upping the stakes. Add in a twist that dashes a lot of our heroes’ plans to pieces and you get an hour that packed a pretty solid punch. It’s been a long few weeks since this episode aired, so you may want to brush up before you strap in for Heart Of Darkness (EP319), which airs tOnight.

Paul Wesley appeared on Live! with Kelly this morning to talk about his plane being struck by lightning, showing less skin on the Vampire Diaries. There’s also a clip featured from Heart of Darkness.
