We know Vaughn (guest star Charlie Bewley) will play a big role in this week’s new episode, Down the Rabbit Hole (EP414). In this week’s Vampire Diaries Bite, TV Guide talks to Ian Somerhalder about whether Vaughn will pose a threat to Damon in particular. And . . . looks like yes:

“Damon would be an extremely difficult man to get tied up to a tree, unless you’re Elena or some hot sorority girl who is compelled to do so. So the fact that he’s there means Vaughn knows what he’s doing.”

In this week’s Vampire Diaries Bite, TV Guide talks to Ian Somerhalder about whether he thinks Elena is in love with Damon and whether he’d be able to embrace that love.

“Even as dumb and crazy as Damon can be, it’s like, ‘ouch fire hot, ouch fire hot, ouch fire hot.’ I would hope the man would take a break. Hell, people get burned over a six-month relationship and take a year to heal. If you got screwed over for 150 years, you can imagine how that carries forward.”

TV Guide talked to Kat Graham about tonight’s episode A View to a Kill (EP412) and Bonnie’s run-in with Kol. Sounds like it will be pretty dramatic:

“This is the first scene that Bonnie and Kol have had together and it’s honestly one of the most intense scenes I’ve had with one other person since I don’t know when.”

TV Guide's Vampire Diaries Bite & Why Klaus Isn't Any Worse Than the SalvatoresIt’s Vampire Diaries Bite time and this week TV Guide‘s listing off 5 Reasons Why Klaus Isn’t Any Worse Than Stefan or Damon:

Klaus is just really, really lonely Because his own parents viewed him as an abomination, Klaus never felt worthy of affection. That’s why he isolates himself from those around him with violence and a false display of apathy — but that doesn’t mean Klaus is at all happy about it.

After Stefan insulted Klaus for keeping victims’ letters to memorialize them, the Original pointed out that Stefan wrote his victims’ names on walls. According to Klaus, this wasn’t a celebration of the deaths, but simply a “reminder that in the end, we’re left infinitely and utterly alone.”

Agree? Disagree? Head over to TV Guide to read the rest of their reasons and then check out the Bite below.

Speaking of reckless, Zach Roerig answers questions from Celebuzz about Matt Donovan’s guilt issues and what might be in store for him this season.

Celebuzz: Matt is obviously feeling a lot of guilt about Elena’s sacrifice for him. How is that going to continue to impact his role this season?

Zach Roerig: Feeling that guilt is going to make him is question why he is alive. I just think both Salvatore brothers are going to encourage Matt in different ways to kind of put up or shut up. Matt’s involvement is stepped up in everything.

Zach Roerig isn’t the only one who has to step up this season, Nina Dobrev has a whole new challenge as she takes on Elena’s new reality. The TV Chick spoke with the actress about all the changes Elena is going through this season.

What are you looking forward to this season for your character?

To go on the journey with her and sort of see how she deals with things, and it’s sad though. She never wanted this at all and now she has no choice. Not just for today, but forever. And she’s stuck with this lifestyle, but who knows. Everything happens for a reason, and maybe one day she’ll be really thankful and really happy that she gets to live through different eras and different times. Maybe she will leave all these boys behind and try to find a cure for cancer or make some good of it.
