The CW has been showcasing these cool cast interview videos on cwtv.com for a few weeks now, in which each actor analyzes their character and speculates what might be in store for them in the second season of Vampire Diaries. (We were waiting to blog ‘em ’til they showed up on YouTube, but that obviously isn’t going to happen any time soon.) The interviews happened during the filming of Founder’s Day, which makes them a treat considering we’re not sure the actors knew what was coming.

Still no Truth Behind Alaric video or (dare we hope?) one for Katherine, but U.S. viewers can check those posted so far over at the CW.

Edward who? The CW whipped together a cheeky Damon Salvatore promo to celebrate him being crowned Entertainment Weekly’s Ultimate Sexy Beast. Just over a week until The Vampire Diaries returns on September 9th!

Canada’s Sherwood Park News has an interesting interview with Sara Canning – she talks about being recognized because of Vampire Diaries, the audience, the awards, and what she believes is the most important aspect of Jenna’s character:

“I’m often asked when will Jenna find out that there are vampires where they’re living, or that vampires exist, and I actually don’t think it’s going to happen anytime soon,” Canning said. “I think one of the most important aspects of Jenna’s character is that she’s one of the few that are left in Mystic Falls (Virginia) that are actually left completely grounded in reality.”

The supernatural may continue to elude Jenna, but can the woman find a decent guy already? (And yes, there is Alaric, but don’t you think Damon will get jealous? We kid – kinda.) READ THE ENTIRE INTERVIEW AT SHERWOOD PARK NEWS.

Vampire Diaries may not have any Emmy nominations, but that doesn’t mean our own Nina Dobrev can’t swing by and class up the joint. (And, as of 6:20pm Pacific, Nina Dobrev is the #3 Trending Topic on Twitter – insane!) Nina walked the red carpet at the 62nd Emmy Awards in Los Angeles and participated in Jimmy Fallon’s opening song and dance number.
