Zap2It‘s Carina MacKenzie is back with another of her on-set Vampire Diaries interviews, this time with Matt Davis – and Alaric’s having a hell of a time lately, right? He discusses Alaric’s recent evolution and whether we’ll see the history teachin’ vampire hunter get more involved in the action, Alaric’s relationship with Jenna, and his interest in possibly directing an episode of TVD.
Now that he’s surrendered his life-saving ring to John, Alaric is in danger of dying… and, of course, of being turned into a vampire, though Davis thinks that’s unlikely. “I mean, I think it’d be cool!” he says. “Chances are I won’t. I don’t think so, but with this show you really don’t know. You call, you try to find out. Should I extend my lease? Should I buy a couch?”

TV Fanatic follows up their on-set video interviews with Ian Somerhalder, Katerina Graham, and Paul Wesley with Steven R. McQueen. He discusses Jeremy being a transitional figure and finding his place in the supernatural world, his “pure” relationship with Bonnie and what drew them together in the first place, Jeremy’s love for Elena and his willingness to protect those he loves, how the show is always an equal balance of loss and gain, and what he’s looking forward to in the finale. You can watch PART ONE below and PART TWO and PART THREE over at TV Fanatic.
And TV Guide‘s Robyn Ross has more from her interview with Katerina Graham on Bonnie’s big decisions and how they will affect her and everyone she cares about.
As previews show, Bonnie chooses to confront Klaus and prove that her powers are no joke. Still, Graham says, she’s not immune to typical teen insecurities. “Bonnie is filled with fear. She’s still only a 17-year-old girl and [is] scared, but is able to move forward and face her fears. That’s where her head is at: She can be scared out of her mind, but she presses forward and will do what she has to do.”

PopWrap‘s Jarett Wieselman catches up with Candice Accola about Caroline’s journey in Season 2 and how our favorite newbie vampire may or may not fit into Klaus’ sacrifice plans. She also reminds us that anything can happen to anyone on The Vampire Diaries.
PW: Everyone knows characters will be dying in these next few episodes — obviously it’s sad, but are you also excited to be on a show that takes such big risks?
Candice: Oh definitely. “Dexter” is one of my favorite shows and they’ve taken major risks in killing off main characters. I love when a show does that. And I think it’s valuable to the genre of our show. It also creates opportunities for new characters to come in. Plus, it’s not like we haven’t know this could happen from day one – but it’s ok to get killed off … for a good storyline [laughs].
