The Vampire Diaries made it to #4 on MTV’s 10 on Top list this morning, and Nina Dobrev and Candice Accola feature in the video clip below. Many thanks to Nina Dobrev Network for the video!
Thanks to Catalina Walsh at CW Source for the heads up on their new video interview with Paul Wesley. He chats about how he was told he’d been chosen as one of People’s Sexiest Men Alive 2010 (see his feature here) and why he does not have a Twitter…yet.
As we countdown to The Descent on January 27th, Zap2It‘s Carina MacKenzie is holding to her promise of new Vampire Diaries goodies. She kicked things off last night with another cast video interview from her latest set visit, this time with Steven R. McQueen. Steven discusses Jeremy’s involvement in Mystic Falls’ supernatural shenanigans, how being “in” on town secrets could benefit his relationship with Elena, his new level of confidence, and Bonnie.
The pairing of Jeremy and Bonnie (Kat Graham) was as surprising to McQueen as it was to all of the fans. “I never expected Jeremy and Bonnie!” he admits. “”Our characters somehow have this great chemistry which has been awesome, and it’s fun, definitely, adding the Luka character to the mix. I’m feeling a little personal competition for Bonnie’s affection. It definitely ups the stakes and makes Jeremy want to fight for Bonnie’s affection that much more.”
In preparation for the return of the Vampire Diaries to UK screens on Tuesday, February 1st, ITV2 have a new trailer on their official YouTube channel. There are some flashes of scenes from The Descent for you to ogle at, but (and we’re really sorry, international fans!) only people in the UK can view it. UPDATE: Non-U.K. fans, click here to watch.
Only ONE WEEK LEFT until new episodes of The Vampire Diaries and Candice Accola has a peek at what’s in store as we head into the final 11 episodes of Season 2. No new footage (yet), but LOTS of hints. Werewolves, Originals, Caroline and Tyler… Click the screencap below to take a peek over at the CW. Don’t worry, international fans, we’ll update with an embed as soon as one is available! UPDATE: The clip is up on YouTube if you can’t view videos on the CW website.
MTV’s 10 on Top has a preview snippet of Nina Dobrev’s upcoming interview this Saturday, January 22nd. She answers questions from fans and, in this snippet, discusses the possibility of a Vampire Diaries movie. (Don’t get too excited, TVD fans.) Don’t miss the full interview on Saturday at 11:30am/10:30c!
And L.A. Times contributor Vlada Gelman has a round-up of Nina’s quotes from the TCA “Kick-Ass Women of the CW” panel, as well as the cocktail party afterwards.
And if Elena does survive, what will happen to her after graduation? Would she like to see college in her future? “Yeah, of course,” she said. “But she hasn’t really been in school much lately, so I don’t know how she’s going to graduate…. Well you know what, she probably still gets As in all of her schoolwork even though she doesn’t go because her aunt is dating her teacher.”
TV Guide‘s Robyn Ross is back yet again with a Vampire Diaries cast interview, this time with the lovely Katerina Graham. She discusses whether Bonnie wanted to kiss Jeremy (and why she stopped him in the first place), whether Bonnie may have feelings for Luka, and hints that a returning character may be up to no good when the series returns on Thursday, January 27th.
Also, if you’re bored and need a laugh tonight, you can thank our followers for latching on to @abbygraham‘s #SomewhereInMysticFalls meme. All we know is that #SomewhereInMysticFalls, the blood bank is wondering why numbers don’t add up, students are illiterate, and bunnies are plotting Stefan’s downfall. Thanks for playing, everyone! HUGE laughs tonight!
E!’s Watch with Kristin catches up with Nina Dobrev in Los Angeles. Nina discusses what fans can expect in the rest of Season 2, playing both Elena and Katherine, Elena’s relationship with Stefan and Damon, Elena’s development as a character, what Elena might make of Jeremy and Bonnie together, and her thoughts on Kevin and Julie’s new show in currently in development. She also does a hilarious Sacha Baron Cohen-as-Klaus impersonation! Check it out below:
Yes, it’s official: Daniel Gillies – currently humiliating vampires, making deals with doppelgängers, and patronizing musicians as Elijah on The Vampire Diaries – has ventured into the world of Twitter: @mrholymonster. He lists himself as a cake stylist and a bounty hunter, and – as fellow History major Heroine TV pointed out – he drops the word “phalanx” in interviews like most people say “grocery store.” (Alala!) Anyway – you should give him a follow, but be prepared to take sides in any further Twitter jousts with Matt Davis. And perhaps someone should let him know that pie trumps cake. (I’m sorry, but it does.)
PopSugar caught up with Candice Accola on the 2011 Art of Elysium Gala red carpet.
And, finally, a new episode of The Televixen‘s Vampire Diaries podcast is up, this time covering Rose – “Chuck Norris Wears Klaus Pyjamas.”
What an appropriate video to follow Erin Brown’s Know Thyself, Be Thyself guest post, right? TV Guide‘s Robyn Ross is back with another Vampire Diaries cast interview, this time with Steven R. McQueen, who discusses Jeremy’s growth so far in Season 2 and his search for a father figure, a potential romance with Bonnie, and why he thinks Jeremy always has good intentions. Check out Robyn’s article over at TV Guide.com.
