It’s almost here! The Vampire Diaries Marathon – five days, ten episodes, all starting this Monday, December 13th. Think you’ll be recovered from By the Light of the Moon by then?
Ian Somerhalder stopped in at Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and they have uploaded the interview to YouTube in wonderful HD glory. Ian talks Lost, pizza, and helpfully gives his Los Angeles home address out on national television. (Thank you, Jimmy Kimmel, for having it bleeped out.) You can watch the interview in two parts below.
WetPaint has posted a chunk of their Michael Trevino interview (following up the tidbit we told you about on Friday) and there are some very interesting tidbits indeed. (Read below and let’s hear those theories in the comments!)
WetPaint: How long did it take to shoot your transformation?
Michael Trevino: We shot it over the course of two days. Two back-to-back, 14-hour days. But, again, it’s multiple scenes that happen over a period of time. It’s not just one scene. And we have a different take on this transformation. I don’t want to give away too much but it’s something that sets us apart from everything else that’s out there right now having to do with werewolf culture.
WP: If you could combine any two existing transformations, how would you describe it? Is it Teen Wolf meets American Werewolf in Paris?
MT: I couldn’t compare it to anything. We’re in a league of our own with this one.
And thanks to PopSugar for sending over their video from last night’s Trevor Live event, featuring a glimpse of Paul Wesley on the red carpet.
Ian Somerhalder continues his rounds on the late night talk show circuit with a stop at Jimmy Kimmel Live! tonight, Monday, December 6th, 12:06/11:06c. Set your DVR!
Speaking of Ian on late night talk shows, The Tonight Show has a pretty cool (and very brief) backstage chat with Ian up on their website. (Ian’s portion starts at 1:46.)
Jim Halterman caught up with Paul Wesley at the 8th annual Trevor Project benefit gala, Trevor Live, in Los Angeles last night. Both Paul and Ian were in attendance. Paul talks briefly about the importance of the Trevor Project and why it’s important the younger members of the Vampire Diaries audience hear about it. (Only Paul Wesley has a few photos from the event, and I Heart Vampire Diaries has a few more.)
Oh, boy. The CW has posted the extended promo for By the Light of the Moon (EP211). Savor it, Vampire Diaries fans, because after this, no new episodes until 2011. In the meantime – can you help us get out of this dress?
In case you missed Ian Somerhalder’s appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night, feast thine eyes on some YouTube goodness. Ian chats about Louisiana, the start of his career (there’s a peek at a modeling shot from a Kids ‘R’ Us ad, courtesy of Ian’s mom), Lousiana vs. New York girls, being in People’s Sexiest Man Alive issue, and Lost. Oh, and check out the backstage shot Jay Leno tweeted.
Presenting the (very spoilery!) short promo for next week’s episode of the Vampire Diaries, By the Light of the Moon, along with a webclip that was featured on the Bloodlines Revealed game. Enjoy!
Thanks to MiI2aCIe for the videos!
It’s not the best quality video, and we’ll be keeping an eye out for a better version.
Following up the Michael interview we just posted, E!‘s Kristin Dos Santos talks with Candice Accola about Caroline’s change from insecure teenage queen to ass-kicking vampire, whether Candice is a Damon or Stefan girl, the Caroline and Tyler bond, the ever-growing friendship with Stefan, working opposite Nina as Elena and Katherine, and the uncertainty of any character’s longevity on The Vampire Diaries.
E!’s Watch with Kristin chats with Michael Trevino about auditioning for Tyler, knowing the character’s background before going in, and he previews what lies in store for Tyler during tonight’s (and next week’s!) episode of The Vampire Diaries – THE transformation.
