The Vampire Diaries at Comic-Con International 2012: Panels! Signings! Followings! Cults! Happy Friday the 13th! Comic-Con International has kicked into high gear in San Diego so here’s a one-stop post for what The Vampire Diaries is up to this year. Once again, Saturday (July 14th) is TVD Day in Ballroom 20. And in extra-special fun times news, turns out that Mr. Kevin Williamson himself will be moderating the TVD panel. (Are we allowed to say “thank goodness?” because thank goodness.) Oh, and The Hollywood Reporter had the exclusive first look at the special TVD Comic-Con poster (pictured).

But first: Friday (today!) Matt Davis is repping his new CW show Cult with a panel and pilot screening at 11:30am in Room 6BCF and a Warner Bros. booth signing from 1:15-2pm. (Warner Bros. is observing the Con’s ticket lottery system again this year, MORE DETAILS HERE.) Support your TVD alum!

Now for the main info…

SATURDAY, JULY 14TH
THE VAMPIRE DIARIES BOOTH SIGNING
1:00–1:45 PM
Warner Bros. Booth #4545

Participants: Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Steven R. McQueen, Zach Roerig, Michael Trevino, Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec

New This Year: Ticket Drawings and Wristband Distributions to Begin in the Morning on the Day of Signings in the Sails Pavilion, Utilizing One Line for All Ticket Drawings for All Signings

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES PANEL
3:30–4:15 PM
Ballroom 20

Participants: Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Steven R. McQueen, Zach Roerig, Michael Trevino, Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec
MODERATED by Kevin Williamson.

And because Kevin Williamson obviously has a lot of free time on his hands, he will also be promoting his new FOX show The Following (watch the creepy trailer!) later on Saturday. Another TVD alum, Marcos Siega, directed the pilot and will join Mr. Williamson, along with stars Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy, for some panel and booth signing fun. They will be signing at the WB booth 12:00–12:45pm and the panel is at 4pm in Room 6BCF. Show Kevin and Marcos some TVD fan love.

If you’re in San Diego this weekend, HAVE FUN. Sadly, we were not able to make it down there this year, but we’ll be lurking on Twitter, RTing the good stuff, and throwing it all together on the blog this weekend.

Everyone getting ready for Comic-Con? Once again, TV Guide Magazine will be featuring The Vampire Diaries along with other Warner Bros. shows on the covers of its special Comic-Con collectible issue. This year, the magazine has “flip” covers, so there are pictures on both front and back. Want one? Here’s where they’ll be:

The Warner Bros. TV Guide Magazine special issues will be distributed at the Warner Bros. booth — #4545 on the convention floor — throughout Comic-Con, beginning on preview night, Wednesday, July 11, and continuing through Sunday, July 15.

For those unable to attend Comic-Con in person, all four sets of collectible “flip” covers will be on sale from July 17 at newsstands wherever TV Guide Magazine is sold. And for the first time, the special issue will also be available for purchase on the NOOK by Barnes and Noble.
