V-D.net reader Marjola emailed us with an interesting tidbit of news that’s sure to make many of you happy. Marjola was at Mads Langer’s concert in the Netherlands last night and after playing “The River Has Run Wild” (memorably featured in The Return), he announced he’d be giving away a free download of the song on his website as a Christmas present for fans. Considering he just tweeted about the studio version coming soon, could this Christmas gift be extra special? Keep an eye out!

And we’re pleased to announce the winner of the Vampire Diaries Marathon Scavenger Hunt – congratulations to Tammy Suber! She had all correct answers and wins the HUGE prize pack. This was an incredibly tough competition. We were triple-checking answers to be sure everything was correct – those Matt knocks were definitely a killer. There was one question in particular we decided was a little unclear – 10a: What is the last item Dr. Martin removes from Elena’s bedroom? – and, in the interest of being fair, we accepted two answers since some seemed confused as to whether the bathroom counted (it did, but we should have specified). So if you answered the picture of Elena in her cheerleading outfit or a hand mirror, we considered both of those answers correct. Also, a lot of people counted 9 shots being fired at the Salvatore brothers in Kill Or Be Killed, but one of the shots fired in the woods went into a tree; only 8 bullets made it into their collective bodies.
