TV Guide Magazine‘s William Keck has a tidbit – and it’s a good one! [Please insert "Hot for Teacher" jokes here.]
The CW’s new fall series, The Vampire Diaries, is casting a new series regular to debut in episode six. The character, Alaric Saltzman, is a fan favorite from the series of books upon which the series is based. He is a young twenty-something history teacher whom executive producer Kevin Williamson described to me as “hot.” The series will also be casting several local residents in Virginia [Ed note: obviously he means Georgia], where the show shoots, to play several townspeople, including students’ parents, the town sheriff and a pastor. Applicants must not have an aversion to sharp pointy teeth.
Sheriff Mossberg? Reverend Bethea? The infamous Mr. Smallwood Lockwood?
