NYLON’s The Insider has a Q&A with Candice where she talks Twilight and True Blood comparisons, being a Japanese pop star, what Vampire Diaries‘ blood tastes like (Nina says it tastes like pancakes), and Caroline Forbes:
I know you can’t talk too much about your character yet, since you don’t want to give anything away, but your manager told me she’s like the Spawn of Satan?
She’s not the Spawn of Satan! No! She’s just misunderstood! Seriously, she’s just got a lot going on. And I love playing her. The lines I get to say, you know, it’s fun to be sassy or unapologetically conniving and manipulative.
Katerina will be sitting with Star Dish Radio tonight to talk about her film/TV/music career and playing Bonnie Bennett on Vampire Diaries. It’s a live interview set to begin at 10 p.m. ET. If you have a question you’re dying to ask her, the call-in number is (347) 945-5423.
Ian talks to New York Mag’s Vulture about Vampire Diaries and Lost:
What was it like for you the first time you saw yourself in the vampire makeup?
It’s a lot of fun because the second that the eyes and the teeth go in, I become a complete different person, and there, all of a sudden, seems to be this license to do things and manipulate people and be somewhat scary. And it’s kind of powerful at times, especially with the lighting and everything. I mean, I notice on set when I have all this makeup on, some of the other cast members are definitely affected by the look of it. It’s a simple look, but it’s very specific and it looks very real, very natural.
